Booster TFs - new mini project
Added 2024-12-07 16:00:12 +0000 UTCGreetings Patrons! We're into the final month of the year and with the 2-month Val-themed Art Revival currently underway, I thought I would test out a little alternative to the usual Art Revival poll which I'm calling TF boosters.
I grew up with a lot of different card games, and occasionally I buy a booster pack for the art or to see a game's mechanic for my own game design ideas. Then I wondered whether I could use a booster pack to determine what TF I should work on, especially having seen several projects over the years using Pokémon cards as the basis. I could see this as an idea that could expand into other card games too, leading to interesting TF ideas.
So here's how it will work. I have with me a booster pack of Pokémon cards which I have opened and chosen 4 Pokémon cards that I think will make for good/interesting one-shot TFs. I'll let you guys vote on which Pokémon will succeed and once it's done I'll pick a suitable TF victim and will produce a single stage TF (most likely Mid-TF), that will be ready by the end of the month, just like regular Art Revival. So there's the four Pokémon options. We have a week of voting to decide which one will be the subject of the TF. The cards may also provide a direction to go with too. I look forward to seeing what people pick!
