Reaction to current FA hacking
Added 2024-08-21 13:00:54 +0000 UTCI thought it would be important to post something here since I imagine most of my traffic comes through FA and this latest incident of hacking has hit at quite a bad time. It's sad for the furaffinity community that is currently going through, and I feel for the artists who rely on the website as their major source of income. I certainly get most of my commissions through it, and though I feel like its probably going to come back in some form or another, I have been contemplating what would happen if FA didn't come back.
Right now the only website I'm actively uploading on beside FA is deviantart. Personally I don't like the galleries and format of deviantart, especially when it comes to navigating comics and sequences. I gave up on pixiv a year or so ago because of my stuff being flagged for not censoring genitalia, and the thought of having to make censored versions of each of those pics felt like a lot of work. Perhaps I should give pixiv another chance? Does anyone even use Transfur anymore?
I know a lot of artists are moving to social media like X, Cara, blusky etc. and I'm not that comfortable putting my TF art on something so public, especially when I'm trying to use that social media more for my regular non-tf business and art.
In any case I thought I would ask you all what channels you use beside FA to view TF Art? Maybe a lot is on discord these days?

2024-08-22 11:16:49 +0000 UTCIt's true. Mind you my progression into discovering the tf community was Anime Transformation Archive -> Transfur -> Arania/Doc's Lab/Werekatt's Werecratures -> FA. I still can't believe the first one still exists xD;;;

2024-08-22 00:48:06 +0000 UTCI pretty much just use FA, especially since that's where I have all my art uploaded. I know blusky has been gaining traction the past year but I've never tried it myself. Hopefully all this with FA will be resolved before long as it went down for awhile 2 nights ago from a DDOS.
