Added 2021-12-20 15:51:52 +0000 UTCFinally our match has taken us to the first gym, and the first Pokémon that's going to evolve: Lévi the Chimchar becoming Lévi the Monferno. It's funny because I rarely pick the fire type except on every third generation but I can certainly see why people love the Chimchar line. The fight with a rock gym leader is always tough but I do love having the fighting moves to help out. Ironically enough Lévi just kept on getting stronger in the fight and by time Cranidos appeared it took one rock smash to knock it out.
Still, plenty more Pokémon girls will get their chance soon >w<

I agree there, as someone who chose Torchic in Gen 3. I think Blaziken has a great design for sure but I definitely have a new appreciation for Infernape now.

2021-12-21 15:52:46 +0000 UTCI think the Chimchar line would have gotten more love if the Torchic line hadn't already done the fire/fighting since Blaziken has always been a very popular Gen 3 starter.
