F1 ultimate career mod - some news to the fixes

Long time no hear. As you can probably imagine by now, a phase in which I don't let you hear from me is often a question of very long work. In the last few weeks I've been tinkering with a few things for the Ultimate Career Mod - i.e. fixes for many small problems that you have reported to me. That's one of the reasons why I hardly reply here anymore. Because if you haven't noticed, since the rebranding of Patreon a few months ago, the whole message page here has been working very, very poorly. My own replies are displayed as new messages. Messages that have already been read are also displayed as new. Some messages are sometimes only displayed months after you wrote them to me. Which is why I still use the page here as a mouthpiece, but I can no longer reply to things. My messages are simply flooded with old and my own messages.

Nevertheless, we have collected many problems that have occurred with the mod over the last few months on Discord, and as I described above, I have not only been working on Formula Circus in the last few weeks, the associated founding of Gecki Studios, but also on a lot of fixes for the mod. Many fixes are only related to reworking the seasons, which is why I am not currently posting an update, but will be posting a major update for everything in a few weeks.

I have also some bad news for everyone who really wants to play the full 10 seasons. I have spent the last 2 weeks almost exclusively fixing the 2006 season, which keeps crashing for many people, including me. I thought I had found the reason several times, but was disappointed again and again by crashes. It is probably somehow due to a combination of the new UV model of the 2006 Renault and skins. But I have tried everything in the meantime and just can't get it fixed in a stable way. Which is why I'm putting an updated 2006 and 2007 season into the mod, but it won't work for about half of you and will only run very unstable for the other half.

I'd have to invest a lot more time in a permanent fix and I still have no guarantee that it will work. Especially since I want to put more resources into Formula Circus at the moment, this is actually a waste of time and I'm giving up on fixing the 2006 and 2007 season for the mod.

But there is also good news; I was able to fix most of the bugs you sent me or I know what the problem is and can fix them. So everyone should be able to enjoy the 1998-2005 seasons to the fullest in a few weeks.

I hope this update has helped you. Unfortunately I can't show much in terms of bug fixes, even though I like to add pictures, so this is all in text form.
