August, 2020 Newsletter. Upcoming Videos, Merchandise Update, etc

Hey everyone! I'm a little bit early on the newsletter this month! Let me fill you in on my plans for August! The new editor has been extremely helpful and has freed up a lot of time for me to pursue other projects, do schoolwork (I'm in school for one last class to get my AA degree) and be more active here on Patreon. Best part is I can get out content and videos MUCH faster than before. So that has been extremely helpful.

MERCH UPDATE

So, I have talked about The Act Man merchandise for quite some time and since this is the first time most of us have started our own merch store, it has taken a lot longer than expected. Good news though! I was just briefed that our plan is to get the website up and running in August. Then we will test out the site for the first 2 weeks of September before giving feedback and making adjustments to it the last 2 weeks of September with a full launch in October.

This is most definitely the time we will launch the store and even I have been getting a bit impatient but I understand these guys are working hard so I totally understand.

Halo MCC on PC Video

WiseFishGG (my editor) has just sent me his rough cut draft for this video and I plan on making some minor adjustments to the video before posting it this weekend sometime. This video will discuss how MCC on Steam has launched, how it's been going and why I feel it was a missed opportunity considering all the awesome innovations and features of the Eldewrito mod of Halo: Online. I will be comparing the two and why many of the features from Eldewrito should've been implemented in the official PC port of MCC

Paper Mario: The Origami King Review

While I don't expect this video to do extremely well, I would love to branch out a bit and occasionally review games outside of my normal viewerbase. I've been a fan of the Paper Mario games since the original came out in North America in 2001. I became a super fan after The Thousand Year Door released in 2004 and since Super Paper Mario came out in 2007, I've been thoroughly disappointed with every release. This review might be a bit more angry as I feel like the developers have made the same shitty decisions 3 games in a row and refuse to make a Paper Mario game that is actually fun or based off of the originals.

No idea when this video would be released but hopefully some time in mid-August.

Talking About Halo Infinite With The Boys

Not entirely sure what I'll call this video but it will be sort of like a podcast. Those of you that remember, I used to host The All Skulls On Podcast years ago with Raycevick, Favyn, Late Night Gaming and Hidden Xperia. While I don't think I'll call it an All Skulls On Podcast, it will function the same with all of us discussing Halo Infinite and our thoughts on everything. Should be really fun to shoot the shit! We will be recording that video this weekend and it may take a week to complete it.

Why Is Minecraft SO POPULAR?!

I haven't forgotten about my promise to make a Minecraft video! This will take a look at the insane popularity of Minecraft over the years and I aim to discuss why the game has made such a profound impact on the gaming community for so many years. I may also talk about why Minecraft is SO AWESOME as well but am somewhat uncertain if I want to add that on top of the popularity angle.

Those are my current plans for the month of August. Hope to give you all some dope ass videos and host some MCC game nights. I will be posting a poll for that in the next couple of days to see if you guys would rather play on PC or Xbox. These videos are subject to change and I sometimes get spur of the moment ideas but I will try to keep you all updated on what's happening. Thanks for reading!

This month's script is for my latest Halo Infinite video! Check it out if you're interested.

Neat update. Pretty early for the newsletter, but I do appreciate it. If you're planning on doing the Paper Mario review, check if you can do it as a collab or something...? Also, this article will actually help a lot! It explains the reasons for why it is going the way it is (although IMO that's complete BS) https://www.videogameschronicle.com/features/interviews/paper-mario-origami-king/
