Ricky wasn't her choreographer yet at this point, he was just the assistant. I think the first choreography he did was for Marry The Night, the last single from Born This Way, and then some performances and The Born This Way Ball. Gaga's choreographer until Yoü and I was BoomKack a.k.a. Laurieann Gibson. She's one of the founders of Haus of Gaga and also was the director of Judas.

This interpretation stirred significant controversy with the Catholic Church, much like the reaction to Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code." The fact that it debuted close to Holy Week and Easter only added to the controversy. Good art, including religious art, often sparks debate. My favourite outfit is the blue one, which features a sacred heart of Jesus stitched into it—a common motif in Catholic devotional imagery. You were right about the washing of feet and the significance of the lipstick. Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss, marking him for arrest. Did you notice the bar is named Electrical Chapel? The scene where Gaga is drowned references Sandro Botticelli's painting "The Birth of Venus." The video ends with her being stoned to death—a wild ride from start to finish, and I love every minute of it!

Every single outfit, makeup look, set design, all the tiny details in the background with symbolisms that add to the bigger picture. So many unique details, this is what you get when Gaga directs!! Really appreciate her vision, this is the height of art in a musical theatrical form 🤌🏼
