I think I'm coming at it from a perspective of preferring a little interest from the woman before they have their way with her. So I was thinking there would be woman at the gym because they were there. And the woman would be very interested in hoping they guys were coming for them.

Even so, there weren't many others present when this happened. Tom and Mira were there simply because they were new and didn't know their way around. At least that's what I thought of when I wrote it.
