Experimenting with Krita and some brushes created by an artist named Deevad http://deevad.deviantart.com/. This is the first time I've not had to fake textures using SAIs brushes, and it's wonderful not spending hours doing really simple things. SAI is quick and simple, but sometimes you want something a bit more customizable, and after 7 years with SAI it's time I start practicing with new tools that won't hold me back quite as much. Sure I can't do shading the same way as before, but with these new tools and practice I'll be back in top form soon enough.
I didn't like the thick lines, though when I first switched over to SAI there was a similar transition while I figured out my brushes and what I could do. While sorta nice, these lines took way longer to draw than they should have. In future I'll be using other brushes and seeing which method is faster.
Also no clothes because I realized how hard this was going to be after doing the lineart for her face. Once the first lines are down you're either stuck with it or you start from scratch, and this was meant to be a trial so the thick lines stayed, and I wasted no time putting on stockings or ill-fitting pants.
