Bretonian Ale

Bretonians export many food goods to the galaxy, from bountiful vegetables to succulent meats, but their most popular export has to be Bretonian Ale. A type of pale ale, it is quite moderate in alcohol and famous for being a smooth beverage but notorious for lowering drinker’s inhibitions, it has earned a place among the most popular drinks in the galaxy. Although disputed by some, many drinkers report that it also possesses aphrodisiac properties.

Anatomy

Bretonians have a naturally large frame with increased muscle mass and bone density to match. Bretonian women average around 2.65m [8’8’’] tall, while their men average a little lower, at 2.30m [7’5’’] tall. If that wasn’t enough to make them feared in combat Bretonians also possess the ability to enter a state in which they start burning fat extremely fast for a boost in stamina, muscle mass, as well as muscle strength. This may be a practical reason why it is common for most Bretonians to carry a generous coat of fat around their waist, but it’s in fact a cultural thing. After many centuries of endless tribal wars over scarce food supplies, generous feasts, and fuller figures have become a symbol of peace and prosperity for them.

Mysterious Crystals

Perhaps the most curious aspect of their physiology is a small crystal formation at the core of their spinal cord. These crystals have a unique crystalline structure that when energized, even with low amounts of energy, can create a resonance that bounces over other crystals. They can only be found in 2 places in the entire galaxy, naturally developed inside a Bretonians body and in large quantities spread all around mines and veins on their home planet. This gives Bretonians a great connection with their homelands and leads them to believe these crystals are a link between them and their progenitors. Although it is still a mystery what physiological function these crystals serve in the Bretonian body they would become a great asset in modern times.
