WOAAHHHHH WTF? Drama llama.
Added 2018-01-04 23:54:37 +0000 UTCSo thing is that on animeotk.com people complain that I censor art.
I replied.
MINUTES AFTER IT GOT DELETED.
But don't worry, I took a screenshot before it did.
text here:
UGH.
I didn't have anything to say but people I never talk to keep bringing me up, so I thought I better clarify things and my strong opinions here.
Do any of you people complaining about my censored art know that I make a living exclusively out of it?
My art, commissions and patreon pay for my food, rent, bills, expenses.
I live on my own, I don't have roomates (nor I want any, it didn't work out).
Of course I understand people wanting free shit but come the fuck on! One dollar!? Is as low as it can go DX
I need to make a living! I did try to host my patreon AT THE SAME TIME I POSTED UNCENSORED ART, but almost no one pledged.
People started to pledge once I censored art. So whoever says "I'd support you on patreon if you didn't censor it" are lying because... well, I freaking did so? It stayed that way for a week, from May 28th to June 4th, pathetically telling with each picture, hey, I'll censor art soon! and being royally ignored.
Until I posted the first censored pic and my supporters started arriving. More with each post.
My art stopped being stolen and reposted on facebook too. (Yet people tried to steal it anyway just to spite me WTF)
Oh and if you thought I didn't have issues setting it up you're also wrong because Patreon DID suspend my page until I deleted the minors. I lost pledgers too with those new rules it imposed regarding charges.
Also, commission buyers of course get the uncensored art. They paid for it, sheesh.
You can't possibly like my art too much to hate it censored but also not like it enough to spare a buck a month (?)
I MEAN, there's always going to be people complaining, of course there will. But it seems like they're willing to complain and complain on art they never commented on or seemed to care about before until it got taken away from them.
And now suddenly there's people coming out of the woodworks to demand me stop making money on my art.
I GUESS I'LL STARVE SO YOU CAN FAP TO A DRAWING?
Well how's this... I'l uncensor everything once I reach my 500 goal, how's that. Everybody wins.
PS: You're not entitled to my art.
PS2: I'm not entitled to clients. I have them because they like what I do. Reason why I put my absolute best on each picture, I improve, practice, make sure the client likes it from the very beginning and anyone who is in any of my streams can tell you so.
Fuck all y'all. Gotta go back TO WORK.
With love and very limited patience, Zani.

With love and EVEN MORE LIMITED PATIENCE, Zani.

I tried to explain but they decided they hate me so it doesn't matter what I say or do so I don't give a fuck anymore xD
2019-02-11 22:21:51 +0000 UTC1 dollars a month... They can't even spare 1 dollars... Some patreon ask 20$ a month to be able to view their arts yet you offer good quality for 1 measly dolar and they complain... Well like I say "Greed is one of the 7 deadly sin"

2019-02-11 21:55:50 +0000 UTCInteresting is putting it mildly.
2018-01-06 20:12:55 +0000 UTCIs not that I take it personally, it's that it has been going on for half a year. I tried to ignore it but it gets really annoying.
2018-01-06 20:12:30 +0000 UTCI do find the moderation on that site to be rather...interesting. It might have something to do with the fact that it originally came from a group that was kicked off Wikipedia for a 'child porn scandal' that (from what I saw investigating it a few years ago) seemed to be a bit overblown and yet there were a few problematic things, and as you know these days you can never be too careful when it comes to that stuff, or even allegations, thereof.

2018-01-06 12:03:44 +0000 UTCThe thing to remember, Zani, is that animeotk does have lots of newbies and lurkers who don't know your history ON that site, let alone off it on places like DA or Facebook. Doesn't excuse them for being jerks of course, and doesn't excuse a name you recognize from ALSO being at AOTK for awhile from acting entitled but if you remember that, it might help you take some of it less personally.

2018-01-06 12:01:41 +0000 UTCI know that at least my prices aren't like other artists, when I started, I charged like, 10 for a picture and 30 for a comic. Now that I've improved I can charge more.
2018-01-05 21:05:34 +0000 UTCWOW I'd love to see it one day! Sounds epic and awesome. Of course not everybody would understand why something like that would cost that much.
2018-01-05 21:04:34 +0000 UTCI've been there just as long. You have no idea how much it means to me to know that there is people that do like what I do. I also think 12 a year is not really that much, is the whole patreon thing! When I struggled with money I launched my page and I live nicely now.
2018-01-05 21:03:46 +0000 UTCI had to reupload them somewhere else. I'll send you the link.
2018-01-05 20:27:07 +0000 UTCBunch of entitled pricks. I am very grateful for every single person that gives me even a dollar to keep going.
2018-01-05 20:25:42 +0000 UTCOf course people might go and say "well supply and demand dictates and people might not want to pay over 200€ for a pair of socks". I say "then don't" but when you complain about people charging money for art in any form, your complaining obviously represent some kind of demand. If this is the case, you should really take some time to ponder if the price (which almost always is really low when it comes to art/handycrafts) is that outrageous. Keep up the good work Zani and know that there are people who think what you are doing is worth far more than what you are asking.
2018-01-05 07:56:23 +0000 UTCI live in Sweden and I love live action role-playing. Nordic larpers take their hobby quite seriously and Viking larp, which I go to, usually involve loads of people making historically accurate Viking clothes, jewlery and armour. A friend of mine who does handycrafts for a living posted a fantastic picture of a pair of knitted socks with the text: " it took 10.5 hours to knit these socks and the yarn cost 8 €. The average salary in Norway is 24.2 € an hour. (Cost of socks 10.5 × 24.2 + 80 = 262.1 €). Our price for the socks is 12 € which comes down to 0.38€ an hour. You are saving 250 €
2018-01-05 07:51:04 +0000 UTCHi, I have been a lurker on animeotk for about 6-7 years I think, and I have always loved your artwork. I got bummed for about 15 seconds whrn I saw that your art was cencored, a reaction attributed to the fact that something I adore got locked away from me. But after those 15 seconds of bumming out the metacognitive perspective kicked in; "there is probably a good reason Zani is doing this and the work being put into these pieces of art is worth loads most than a measly 12$ a year".
2018-01-05 07:35:45 +0000 UTCi have a question. what happened to all the pics patreon made you remove?
