v3.131.11-beta

- Enhanced handling of high-resolution images:

- Waifu2x now automatically downscales extremely high-resolution images before upscaling to prevent engine failures.

Comments

The new "auto downscale" feature only downscale extremely high-res images that could cause engine failure, like if you don't downscale it, it just won't work at all. And it will downscale the image to as close to the engine limit as possible, so you won't miss any detail for no reason.

Is this for all the model like RealESRGan if it is, Could we have an option to turn this option off, or a notice at least. As downscale than upsacle could cause some problem thanks. Alos what is extremely high-resolution images, here. it this a fixed number like 8k or 12k image or it is depend on the device like i have a 5090 so i really dont want downsacle happen when i am upscaling my photo from my Camera like my camera is Fujifilm GFX 100 II which is 102 megapixels which is like 8k to 12k. also this dowscale only does to image right not to video right. Thanks, sorry i asked so many questions. Have a great day.
