Natasha - Abs Vacuum

A lot of people really enjoyed my last abs vacuum drawing, so I wanted to do more with it and put a bit more into designing the character.

Right now, life is hectic for Natasha Reyes. At 19 years old, she is in the midst of her university studies in aerospace engineering. Time consuming enough, even without the hard, daily training and diet routine that she sticks to with pinpoint, calculated precision.

A formerly shy and sharp-minded space and math nerd, she started exercising five years ago after reading in a book that it could improve confidence. It worked, and soon she wanted to be the strongest kid in school, as well as the smartest. Once she found out about figure competitions, she became determined to add more awards to her roster.

When it came to getting on stage, she was terrified. She took on a new look to try and pretend to be more confident; dying her hair, experimenting with styles, and eventually even committing to a full sleeve tattoo. Like the training, it worked. The confidence she had at first projected became her own, and getting up on those stages became easy and fun.

Natasha adores math - she studies it for fun, and that's part of what makes her so good at cutting for competitions. She loves to turn her dieting, training and calorie counting into an exact science.

She loves hard sci-fi - shows that really get into the technology and inventions based on real life ideas. More fantasy style sci-fi quickly loses her interest. Her favourite way to absorb these is by reading, but between her studies and her training, she hasn't had as much time as she'd like to keep up with new releases. Currently she tries to get some audiobook listens in while she trains - she prefers real books, but she gave up on reading them mid-workout after ruining one with dripping sweat.

In her first year of university, her roommate agreed to design her space tattoo in exchange for her eating vegetarian for a month. After trying it out, she never turned back - it helped her get leaner, and gave her another factor to work on when planning her diet.

Her phone is half-full of selfies of her tattooed arm flexing at every angle.
