Good news, the Alien girl is shaping up nicely for a release this weekend.
I applied for the first time the Light Baking technique while retaining the solid 1 color showed on the earlier post. I'm quite surprised on the results when you start to layer in an original texture for details. Thinks just pop up nicely now.
Eventually I got lost in all honesty on how to make her unique. So I googled alien girl and antennas are the first thing that came up 👽!
This meant, we had to create em 😁, so with great success, we managed to make the antennas shaped like functioning ears after many trails. First the concept and then the adaption for details and UV/Coloring.
Now when you have antennas for ears, this means you need to get rid of the ears that are stuck in her head. I tried something rudimentary to prove the concept is applicable. Now I just have to refine it to make it more feasible and seamless, plus the challenge with the texturing later on as this area now have no ears in the texture.
Speaking of textures, the seams on this are insane, I need to figure out a way to reduce this workflow if I'm going to assume it's feasibility in the future, as it stands now, it's way too unintuitive to go through and do them manually, seriously. I think I only see purple shades from now on due the the constant Photoshop leaning down sessions to get rid of all the anomalies lol.
All in all, possibly I might be able to squeeze in some decals for aliens, not sure which to go for, organic? Tattoos? I have no clue. First alien to go for and honestly still WIP at this stage lol.
