Upcoming Patreon Pause: July 2020

Hallo Everyone!

This is an announcement that my Patreon will be undergoing a pause for the month of July, 2020.

I wanted to give this notice in advance so that it doesn't come up as a surprise, and so that Patrons that might want to request specific themes such as birthday gifts can plan to request those early in May or June. 

This pause is not only to give myself a break from dishing out 100+ art pieces each month and by proxy, avoid burnout, but to also give an opportunity to catch up on any owed commission work I might have in that month.

Here is a brief FAQ rundown on what this update means!

Q: What is a Patreon Pause?

A: This pause is defined quite literally. My Patreon will be "paused" for the entire month of July. No posts will be made, and no reward requests will be taken.

Q: Will I be billed July 1?

A: No. You will not be billed July 1, or any time in July. If you keep your pledge, it will automatically start billing again in August.

Q: Do I, a patron, need to do anything for my account? Will my slot be lost?

A: Nope! You don't have to do anything. The pause is automatic. Your slot will not be lost unless you cancel your pledge. I will NOT be adding slots in July.

Q: Will you take preorders for August in June?

A: Yes! Longtime patrons may be familiar that I start to take preorders for the next month's rewards beginning on the 21 each month. Instead of July, any preorders placed in June will be for August.

Q: What if I first pledge in July? What will happen?

A: According to Patreon's FAQ on Pausing, you will be billed right away if you start a pledge in July. If you do pledge for a reward tier in July and are billed, I'll happily accommodate you and take your reward request[s].

Q: What about goal bonuses? Will we still get those?

A: Since you won't be paying for July, you won't be receiving any reward bonuses - including the goal bonuses. Patrons that begin a pledge in July will not receive the adoptable or adoptable base goal bonus, despite having paid for that month.
