[Slot-In Session] Rise of the Spider Queen

Hi all! Welcome back to another release - today I have another oneshot for you. This one supports 4-6 players of level 2! This is available to all paid members. Excitedly, this now means we have 3x level 1 and 3x level 2 oneshots. :D

Let's have a deeper look into the design too shall we?

Background

Arachness is a village nestled comfortably in an isolated forested valley, and at first glance, holds no importance. However, as folks might hear from travellers, Arachness is often used as a place of rest, for it sits directly between two larger settlements. Legend says it was founded by the Spider Queen herself, an arachnid goddess dedicated to maintaining the natural order of living things. As you might've guessed, no one's ever confirmed this, although no spiders have ever been found within a 10 mile radius of the village. All is peaceful in Arachness...that was until last night.

According to a local traveller, the village was quieter than usual. Although he was able to get his weekly fire whisky, the villagers said little. He also noted the abundance of spiders, which were crawling up and down his limbs.

Despite his reassurances, there are whispers that the Spider Queen has returned, although others deny this. After all, what would a goddess want to do with a sleepy village in the middle of nowhere...?

I may have gone a bit overboard with this oneshot - and includes new things that I've not done before! And today I wanted to share a little bit more :D

PDFs for PF2e and DnD5e

Yup - we support both PF2e and DnD5e compatability. PDFs are available to all paid members. One of the trickiest things I've tried to balance with this oneshot is the Spider Mutagen Table, inspired by the Graft system from PF2e.

Also as part of these oneshots, all members get access to maps, including a brand new map focused around part of the village of Arachness! I think I managed to capture the sinister atmosphere very well here. :D

Custom Monsters, Traps, Items, and Curses!

I've also made some custom monsters, traps, items and a curse. I've written items, curses and monsters before, but not a trap! This one includes a "Suffocation Web", focused around suffocation rules for their respective systems.
