Samantha Carter and Vala finally reappeared through the Stargate 72 hours later, naked and ceremonially painted with gold, but having no memory of what happened during the missing days.
The event was successfully reproduced more than a dozen times, with almost the same result from every test (only the tally marks changed), but no explanation was ever discovered.
Why the gold? No idea. I just wanted to make variants I guess. =)
