2024-12-27 00:17:09 +0000 UTCSorry, I can be like a dog with a bone when something gets into my head. Dylan, like Nikki, could also be an unreliable narrator. Telling her story as she recalls it, but not maybe as it fully was, or blind to facts and actions outside her knowledge and control? Perhaps he/she was not as convincing an actor, but maybe the producer had access to Xu's algorithm and found Dylan had great potential for a smooth transition. The old Dylan does meet the profile for a lot of Second Dawn forced transitions. In some ways rather similar to Jack without the blond hair, but just cruising through life and girls. So the producer just allowed him/her to continue believing their charade of “playing trans” for a role was working to build leverage to push for the eventual full transition and surgery? There is a whole "Truman Show" aspect to this story. An actor in a show "Anywhere But Boring", not realizing that her "real life" outside the show is actually just a character story in a much larger story with many factors beyond her knowledge and understanding. Were her parents possibly even in on it? They seem so easily accepting and unfazed by their son's transition into their daughter. Yes that is the ideal that every trans person would want, but seldom the reality even when parents are accepting. Even the most accepting people may need a little time to process the reality just dropped on them with no notice. Dylan's parents seem to turn on a dime. What exactly did Dylan's Dad and the producer discuss??? Was the kid at the bar with a phone camera just a reminder of the ever presence of social media in our culture and society, or a studio plant keeping tabs and looking for anything to hype her public image. Had Dylan been beat-up at the bar that too would have drawn victim sympathy and support beyond simply the TV character she played. Not saying the fight itself was fake, only that the studio might have been looking to maximize any event that might enhance the return on their investment in Dylan. An investment Dylan might not have been wholly aware? I am definitely drifting into Xu sized conspiracy theories. But I feel like my eyes were just open in a "red pill" moment. And now I see a whole new and different possible reality than I did the first time reading the story. The choice of course is yours. It is a great story where it is. But wow, simply wow, if there is a whole other level to it with an alternate story from a different perspective going on, that you have been slowing dropping clues and Easter Eggs about!?! Slow clap growing to a crescendo to the maestro in deed on a three level Vulcan chess board plot we never even saw coming!

2024-12-26 23:55:02 +0000 UTCSeeing Dylan, caused me to re read "Anywhere But Boring" and the last couple of episodes of Half Sisters. Now I am wondering if "Anywhere but Boring" was as random as I first thought or if it too is fully part of the "Xu-niverse"? The first and most obvious is Nikki's Mom's t-shirt that has "Anywhere But Boring" on the front of it in. Then in that same and later episodes is Nikki's red baby-t that saying "Antisocial" on it. It looks striking similar to Melissa's red baby-t that says "Defiant" on it in part 5 of "Anywhere But Boring", when she is walking with Dylan after leaving the clinic. Are Melissa and Nikki shopping at the same store or shopping the same brand? Which makes me wonder, while Dylan's transformation was different and not on the island (neither was Sandy's), it was to some degree forced by the producers against Dylan's initial will (he would have lost his career and been written out of the show). Again a bit like Sandy and Mrs Ferris. Sandy had a choice but could have gone to jail if refusing. Could the producer of "Anywhere But Boring" have had an as yet unrevealed connection to Xu or Second Dawn similar to Mrs. Ferris? Dylan's transformation is pretty amazing. Could it be that the producer was able to acquire the Second Dawn specially designed hormones and other medications that facilitated such a perfect and flawless physical transformation? And likewise could the psychologist the studio sent Dylan to been a little too good to be true? Dylan thought she used to be an actress. She describes her as "looking like she stepped out of a Loreal commercial" Maybe the acting Dylan was picking up on was hiding an association with Second Dawn or that her mission was to smooth Dylan's transition according to Second Dawn's "Companion Protocols"? If she was a little too pretty, maybe she was even transitioned herself and eventually allowed to leave like Holly? The first time I read it, I enjoyed the story but did not see any connection to the "Xu-niverse" which made me think it was a separate and unrelated work. But now... I am sorry if I am over blowing a good story, but starting to see possible connections and have to at least ask. I thought "Anywhere But Boring" was a good story taken to a logical and satisfying conclusion that would not be reopened again. But if it is tied to the Xu-niverse, then there is a potential whole other back story that could and should be told. 🤯 💡

Contrary to popular misconception, Christmas Day is actually the start of the Christmas season, not the end.
