Half Sisters - Episodes 59 & 60

Nikki and Sandy are finally reunited! But, unbeknownst to Nikki, Sandy has an ulterior motive about helping her accept her new life as a young woman...

Phew! Well, we're ending the month with about 40 new pages of Half Sisters. I was so happy to get these two back together. I can't wait to read your thoughts!

P.S. And, yes, you will be voting on Nikki's new hairstyle!

Thank you, Sara! They're really becoming close. Good thing, since they're probably the only ones who can understand what the other is going through!

Emory Ahlberg

She's a big fan! 😉

Emory Ahlberg

I just noticed the "Anywhere But Boring" shirt that Nicki's mom wears in a panel. I love it!

Kris Greg

Sunflower, thank you so, so much! I'm sorry I forgot to reply to your lovely comment - but re-reading it today brought a huge smile to my face. 💕 I can't wait to bring you even more stories in 2025!

Emory Ahlberg

I re-read my comments about the tribal mask. And now after your comments I may have gotten it wrong or only half right. I was focused on Nikki creating a mask to support her public personal as Nikki. Since, at least for now, she can't just come out as Nick Palmer last year's QB. She has to be convincing as a "real girl". But your comments made me realize that "Nick Palmer" QB may have been as much of a mask as any back story created by the characters to support who Nikki Palmer is and why she is at St. Christopher's as a freshman. So I guess the mask could have double meaning. Or maybe it just random art work? 😉

Diana O'Neil

Emory, thanks so much I love your reply and it does really help. I can't wait to read the rest when you are ready to post more.

Diana O'Neil

Thank you, Diana! I really love how deeply you've engaged with the storytelling! When I write the scripts, I try to layer in these subtle details. The matching outfits between Nikki and her mom weren't accidental - there's this natural mother-"daughter" bond forming. Mary Palmer has always seen something in her child that Howard refused to acknowledge. The Trevino scene actually came from my own experience with an old family friend who remembered me completely differently than I remembered myself. It made me think about how unreliable our memories of ourselves can be, especially during childhood. I wanted to use Trevino to challenge Nick's entire narrative about who they were before all this happened. And, yeah, Nikki is absolutely an unreliable narrator! I've been dropping hints about this throughout the series. While Nick was genuinely good at football, a lot of Nikki's memories about being this ultra-masculine town hero are colored by her dad's influence and her own attempts to overcompensate. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle - Nick was a talented athlete who put on a hyper-masculine act to please their father and hide his own insecurities. We do know that Nick's teammates didn't seem to like him very much, even if he was the "star QB." I think what Nikki fears most isn't actually losing their masculine identity, but of confronting the possibility that this masculine identity was largely performative in the first place. Basically, that Hutchinson is "right." (More to come on these great comments of yours! 💕)

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks so much, Stacy! And, yeah, that's VERY doubtful. 😂

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Ella -- and so is Nikki! Hehe.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Gemma! The Trevino scene was particularly fun to write because I wanted to show how Nikki's past might not align perfectly with her current self-image. I think we all have moments from our youth that we either suppress or reframe to fit our current identity. The fact that Trevino so naturally saw "Nicky" as a girl hits Nikki right in that masculine pride she's worked so hard to build up. The date is coming! I know it has taken time, but I wanted to really establish the stakes and dynamics first. Plus, I think the anticipation mirrors what Nikki's feeling - this looming event that keeps getting closer and closer, with all these complicated emotions attached to it. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Jade. 💕 Snowfall is basically Nikki's first genuine emotional connection since everything went down. Nikki can't help but be vulnerable around him. Those moments of her with him - that's the child her mom remembers. The kid who used to love animals, who was sensitive before she learned she had to be "tough."

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Phoebe! I love writing about Nikki's relationship with her mom! The dynamic between Sandy and Nikki's dad really crystallized for me while writing that confrontation. I wanted to show how Sandy has grown from someone who used to avoid conflict into someone who will absolutely throw down to protect the people she cares about. It's up to you to decide whether Trevino genuinely remembered Nick as a tomboy or if he's just being kind... He seems like a no-nonsense type either way. I also love how different people reconstruct their memories of Nikki in different ways. Lauren sees her as her ex-boyfriend in a dress, Mom sees her gentle child returning to their true self, Trevino remembers a tomboy, and Hutchinson has convinced himself there was always something feminine about Nick. Meanwhile, Nikki's struggling to figure out which, if any, of these perspectives holds any truth.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Richard! I love writing Sandy and Nikki's dynamic! Sandy's confidence comes from accepting herself, while Nikki is still stuck thinking strength equals masculinity. I deliberately had Sandy stand up to Mr. Palmer to highlight this - she's found her voice by embracing who she is, not by trying to be what others expect. The rancher character emerged organically as I was writing - I needed someone who knew Nikki "before" but wouldn't judge her "after." His presence lets me explore how Nikki's past might not be exactly as she remembers it...

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Elrod! Sorry to disappoint you on the styles... we have to keep Nikki (mostly) sane. 😂

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Alex! She may be headed in that direction for the nail polish. Lots of cool dudes have black nail polish, after all!

Emory Ahlberg

Hutchinson specifically wanted a new hairstyle for the "date" so Nikki doesn't have much choice on that one!

Emory Ahlberg

So far, whenever Nikki has needed a feminine role model, she envisions her mom - or Jill.

Emory Ahlberg

LMAO! You have a naughty mind, DJ. 💕

Emory Ahlberg

She certainly has the height for it, DJ. 😊 (although not the attitude...yet!)

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Maggie! Hutchinson for sure... But I think Mr. Palmer might be salvageable. We'll see!

Emory Ahlberg

awwww Em! How amazing. You wanna know what got me proper this time? These two holding hands. It's so intimate and feminine and... I dunno, sexy but in a cosy way? I just love that Nikki is going from "No homo bro" to holding hands... it really made me melt. I am so excited to see what's to come, this story is my fave ever!

Sara Dune Tone

I just want to thank you Emory, for all that you do. I've followed your work for years on tgcomics but just recently joined the patreon. You're just the best at this, of anyone I've encountered. The storylines, the characters, the art, the emotional depth - all unparalleled! Please know that you bring me a lot of joy - even though there is a lot of darkness in your stories, the humanity of the characters shines through. I am eagerly awaiting the next phase in Nikki's journey and rooting for Sandy to help her accept the femininity that seems to have been lurking underneath for so long.

Sunflower

Back on that picture of Nikki and her Mom. That tribal mask over Nikki's left shoulder keeps bothering me. It looks a little out of place with the picture of Nikki and her Mom and the flower pictures. Looks kind of African to me, possibly Pacific Islander? Though maybe it is Native American? That would at lest connect in some way to living in Texas. And I doubt Emory would just allow AI to throw something random in for no reason. So what is Emory trying to tell us? What Easter Egg is it revealing for us? I kind of implied this before, but maybe it is symbolic of the mask Nikki's Mom is helping her to form and learn to wear in order to fit in? Maybe it is foreshadowing of the mask Nikki is getting ready to put on in order to assume the role of a freshman coed at St. Christopher's, and begin living a more public life on campus and in the town as Hutchinson is expecting Nikki to be seen out and about with Zack. I know, I know, thinking way too into things. It is just a story with pictures, not everything has to mean something. But some times they do! When Emory is ready to drop the deets I will be all ears.

Diana O'Neil

I apologize, but one last rant about Nikki's Dad. They guy was a Marine, but he does not act like one. Someone does not serve in the Marines, they become one and do so for life. All the jokes about it being a cult, it is! Marines protect and take care of their own. They may be a little misguided at times, but they live by "God, Country, Corps and Family". But what he allowed to happen to Nick/Nikki no Marine would stand for. No one, I mean no one lays a hand on the child of a Marine. At dinner he let Hutchinson walk all over Nikki, then alone with her at home he is sniping and pissing all over her accusing her of enjoying the process and then forcing her to do cockamamie crap to try and reverse what has already been done and blaming Nikki when he does not see the desired results. Not to mention if he did get the desired results and Nikki began to look like Nick once again, he would blow up the deal with Hutchinson and unleash whatever further punishments Hutchinson has planned already for the entire Palmer family. No common sense or forethought to his actions. He is all just total BS, which leads me to believe, he may have enlisted, served and even gotten an honorable discharge in the Marines but he never "became" a Marine. There are Marines like that. It is a military service and they do need to make recruiting quotas like all the other services, so some recruits make it in who probably don't have the right mental and emotional disposition to become Marines in the fullest sense. A lot of them come with extra emotional baggage and many are enlisting to overcompensate for other deficiencies in their lives. One can only speculate what Mr. Palmer's deficiencies are. Perhaps in high school he was laughed at under the bleachers by some girl for being inadequately endowed and then she spread it around the school? Maybe he was caught looking a little too long at a teammate in the locker room and got accused of being gay? Maybe he could not even make the cut to get a place on any sports team? That might explain why he is pushing Nick/Nikki so hard? Maybe his Dad was just as broken and hard on him? Could this change to Nikki break a generational cycle? But what ever the reason, it seems like joining the Marines was an attempt to over compensate. And now he is taking all the wrong lessons and applying them to all the wrong situations when dealing with his wife and Nikki, and even his own life and business dealings, since he allowed himself to become Hutchinson's pawn and business chew toy. Anyway, just one last rant about Mr. Palmer.

Diana O'Neil

The other thing I find frustrating is the "red meat diet" Mr. Palmer had Nikki on. And again I almost wonder if it is intentional to highlight how out of touch Mr. Palmer really is and that maybe he was not even ever an athlete or maybe had his own orientation issues as a child and thus is over compensating in his adult life (joining the Marines, being an oil field roughneck, then an entrepreneur) and pushing Nick/Nikki in the direction he is, grabbing at things like fad internet diets for unrealistic results. Yes, some people do palio and Atkins diets, but very few pro athletes do them. And while red meat is a major source of protean, it is also a source for fat. And even with red meat the amount of meat one would have to eat to meet their protein requirements would be ridiculous. Most athletes are taking multiple types of supplements multiple times a day. Pre-workouts, post workouts, creatine for muscle recovery, Collagen for joints and ligaments, protein shakes for lean muscles development, plus all types of vitamins that support the various processes and and keep the immune system healthy. And that is all on top of a healthy balanced diet. And while all football players are big, quarterbacks are on the smaller end of the scale because they need to be fast and agile and have full range of motion with their arms to make passes. Loading his "son",who is on massive doses of personalized female hormones, up with tons of red meat every meal is not going to get him the quick and agile lean, mean quarterback. A sophomore in high school biology could tell him hormones in Nikki's body are causing the meat to be processed very differently than when Nikki was still Nick and playing football. And so while Mr. Palmer claims to be acting out of love and the best interests of Nick, the degree of ignorance about how to really do the things he says he is doing is almost unbearable at time. Add to that the awkward paranoid phobic comments and actions and it just creates some major cringe moments. But again that might be the authors desired response.

Diana O'Neil

Now I do have to note a couple of frustrations. Not bad and very possibly intentional to illustrate the degree of delusion Nick and his Dad have been living in, even before the kidnapping by Second Dawn. The first is Nicki's obsession with binding her breasts and and wearing her old cloths and thinking somehow she is passing for male let alone any resemblance of her former self. It is almost humorous, but somewhat painfully and slightly cringely so. I get that it may be done to illustrate the difficulty of Nick's internal id/ego accepting her external physical presence and reality. But at some point the delusion needs to bow to the reality. And that reality is, as Hutchinson described it, that while Second Dawn may have send Nikki back as only a half baked potato, the insides may not be done, but the outside has been baked to near perfection. Clearly some surgeries and procedures have been done as Nikki has no 5 o'clock shadow, no Adam's Apple and her face is much more feminine that Nick's, things that hormones alone would not do and I suspect other features were enhanced by surgery as well. Maybe some lippo and fat transferal? Not that Nick was in anyway fat, but to help create the very distinctive narrow waist and curves as his/her former football player body began to shrink from the hormones, diet, etc... The end result is that while Nikki's brain and emotions may still feel like they are in a cocktail shaker, the body that stepped off the plain was "banging" as Nick might have described it, were it not his/her body. So it just makes Nikki's efforts seem so ridiculous and and delusional. Like a little kid who thinks putting on a plastic football helmet and jersey makes them indistinguishable from the 250 lbs players on the field. In small measure it can be adorable, in larger measure it can be annoying, and over done it could even be dangerous. Of course Nikki being a fashion diva from day one would be equally ridiculous. But we have have Nikki either drowning in the ugliest oversized men's clothing (mostly t-shirts and jeans) or now we have Nikki binding her chest but then wearing a bare midriff tight baby doll tee that basically defeats the purpose of binding her chest. There is no passing as a dude in that outfit even with the baggy pants. So if she is opting to blend with other women it makes no sense to be binding her chest.

Diana O'Neil

The more I re-read these episodes the more I love them and the characters coming into their own before us. One of my favorite panels is in Episode 59 on page 13 of the PDF with Nikki and her Mother. It is just such the perfect mother-daughter image. The resemblance is remarkable. And the Mom's beauty has not been dimmed by the years. She could still pass for an older sister of Nikki's. Then there is the more noticeably fitted and feminine clothing Nikki is wearing and quasi matching sleeveless tops mom and daughter are wearing. Just adorable! And the picture wall behind them a source of possible "Easter eggs". Over Nikki's left shoulder is the image of Nikki and her Mom when she was a little boy. And Mom's hair and dress are the same we see in the last panel of Episode 60 when Nikki says she may have an idea of how she would want longer hair to look. So sweat. And by any chance is the black and white photo of horses in a pasture possibly Trevino's? Snowball's new temporary home. And speaking of Trevino, his reaction to Nikki was quite interesting. Nikki was so worried about going from Kick to Nikki. But Travino's revealing he thought Nicky was a tomboy back then, open's up the alternate reality that Nick was not the inevitable only future Nicky had, but that Nikki is not as ridiculous and impossible a future as Nick and his father would think. Travino remembers Nicky/Nikki not Nick the Football star. Perhaps Nick is not the trusted narrator we have assumed. Maybe Nick is sharing a bit of a "Ted Bundy" (Married with Children show reference) delusion of greater talent and social importance that Nick may actually have had. Not saying he was not good. Zack seems to confirm that, but was Nick really heading to the pros? Was he really the town and school idol? Or just more so in his and his Dad's own mind? But it is kind of interesting that a pretty normal hetero traditional older male does not recognize the town's star quarterback with the same name (Nicky Palmer/Nick Palmer/Nikki Palmer) but remembers and recognizes a tomboy he has not seen in probably 14 years or so. Perhaps the memory of Nick the Football Quarterback will not be quite the fear doppelganger we have been lead to believe? So far the only person to recognize Nikki as Nick is Lauren and only because she saw her with her shirt off and recognized a distinctive birthmark she associated with very intimate memories. I am excited to see what evolves in the next couple chapters!

Diana O'Neil

Just picking up on a couple of comments about Sandy standing up to Mr. Palmer because Nikki could not. That seems to be a theme broader than Nikki and her Dad. As we saw in episode 58 it taking Nikki standing up to Mr. Hutchinson for Zack to find the courage to stand up to his own father. Nikki as we saw in Episodes 57 and 58 is already pretty fierce even as her smaller girl self. But there is a certain dynamic between parent and child that is hard to break and keeps both parent and child frozen at times in certain default roles and behaviors. The first people whose approval we ever sought were our parents. And even a person who never lived for anyone else's attention and approval can have a hard time feeling they have lost the approval of their parents. We connect to our parents at the id level before we even begin to form our ego. I wonder if we may eventually see a more feminine Nikki finally standing up to her father in a way her male self never could? I assume her Dad may eventually get a comeuppance that will force him to reevaluate his own values and perceptions and see just how much a selfish prick he has been when it comes to his family. But even after such a life event it will likely take some time before he could be a part of "Team Nikki" both in terms of the time it will take for him to sift through his own emotional baggage and for Nikki and her Mom to get over the deep emotional scars he has inflicted on them for them to be able to trust him, especially while Nikki is going through a very vulnerable stage with great risk of public exposure. Not that Nikki would or could cut him out of her life completely, but I suspect the post date relationship will take a more cool, distant and formal nature. I know Nikki has to eventually move into the dorms (and it sounds most likely with Sandy as her roommate) once the school year begins, but it seems like it may be time for Nikki to move back to the ranch with her mother until then. There is no room for growth in her father's house for her. Her Dad may not be violent and has no ill intentions like Hutchinson, but It is not a safe place for Nikki as she continues this forced metamorphosis. Interesting that this this process was started by people with truly malign intentions toward Nick and will be completed by those acting out of true love for Nikki. We saw how Nikki's Mom enjoyed both shopping outings and how she got along with Lauren both times and even with Evie during the second. I have to think she too will eventually be incorporated into Sandy's plan to normalize Nikki's emotional transition. And in so doing help fix the broken relationship between her and Mrs. Ferris. It seems like Mrs Palmer's ranch would be an ideal place for creating the matriarchal community and support network Nikki will need both before school and possibly even during school as a retreat for occasional weekends and holidays where those who know Nikki's real identity can come together in support of her without fear of strangers and outsiders, or even Hutchinson. A place where Nikki can be her imperfect self and work in progress and not the plastic mask she will have to assume in public on campus and out in town, both to satisfy Hutchinson and for Nikki's own safety and public acceptance. And perhaps a place where they could plot with Jill Hutchinson's inevitable downfall?

Diana O'Neil

Mr. Trevino seems like male version of Martina, the kind woman who took in Holly and Janelle. He seems stern, but kind and accepting, the complete opposite of the blatantly sadistic and transphobic Kaschak ( Jill & Adele ARE WOMEN, you monstrous shit), the wantonly cruel Hutch and the vicious Davis.

Female-Bosmer-Always

Please, Emory, handle the haircut decision until ep 62, and use the 'fill' time on 61 for nails, pedicure, fashion shopping, etc - and put in a set of panels of Nikki with different hairstyles for us to vote on (you may have already planned that, though!)

Elrod W

Great eye for detail. Didn't catch that part

DJ

The page with holding hands are my favourite too, same way I thought it was a younger version of Nikki's mom, she was Miss Texas after all 😘💖! I am waiting for Nikki to come take care of Snowfall, in maybe she will teach Sandy to ride a horse after all why not? Sandy can even provide a saddle so the girls don't have to ride bareback! 🐎💝

Wojtek

That antisocial shirt! Perfect for Nikki. Also end of chapter 60 and the "vague idea" of how she wants her hair. Yea, vague, lets go with that egg comment. Ive seen less girly ideas from femi femme fatals that were playing up the femme side to the limits they had. Nikki, embrace the Femme side of the force. You know you want it, and its good for yourself and self esteme.

SingularCurve

Thank you, Wojtek! I loved Sandy standing up to Mr. Palmer for Nikki. My favorite image is then holding hands - and Nikki didn't pull away this time! The last page is a younger version of her mom, so she's thinking about how mom's hair looked...

Emory Ahlberg

End of Chapter 59 is brilliant cliffhanger, if I were Nikki , I'd want Scott/Sandy to surprise me like that too. After Sandy found out the truth about Nikki's father now I think they will become best friends! Sandy showed such bravery, defending Nikki and a little herself, I guess a little rest for Nikki and Sandy wouldn't hurt. The last page from chapter 60 beautiful but if Nikki is going to be a brat it looks too modest.

Wojtek

Brilliant stuff as always Em.....can't wait to see Nikki all glammed up....hell, maybe she'll smile.....but I doubt it hehe x

stacy C

Great reunion! And I'm curious about how they'll look after the salon!

Ella Cherry

Also love your inclusion of Nikki’s Mum reference to ‘Anywhere but Boring’ on her T-shirt.

Gemma

So much to enjoy in these two episodes Emory, well worth the wait. I enjoyed the underlying embarrassment Nikki experienced when Mr Trevino, without hesitation or intent (unlike Hutchinson’s teasing) reacted to, recognised, and had always assumed that Nikki was a girl. A real blow to Nikki’s underlying ‘macho self image.’ Interesting to note how Nikki also tries to hide her increasing sensitive side and play down her emotional connection to Snowfall in case that is perceived as a ‘girly’ trait. Sandys appearance was very timely. I love how she stood up to Nikki’s Dad. I can see how the relaxed, ‘just go with it approach and ’ tactic,’ minimising the wearing of girls clothes as being something superficial and does not undermine who you. This gentle encouraging approach seems, at least for now, certainly got the ball rolling in the right direction and aligned with the task Sandy was set by Mrs Ferris (and Mr Xu). These episodes are all part of such a long tease Emory as we wait for Nikki’s date with Zach to happen. So many of us readers have been hanging out and waiting for it to happen for so many episodes. But all good! The suspense you have created just adds to the building the anticipation and will make the ‘date,’ when it happens, even more delightfully delicious!

Gemma

Hell yeah bluebonnets at last!!! Texas af! Nikki is so down bad for her horse. She fronts bravado and disinterest in Snowfall but her expressions in every image show joy and love.

Jade Diaz

It's genuinely so sweet how Nikki keeps thinking of her mom as a feminine role model. Never fully willingly, of course, but when pressed for what kind of woman she'd like to be seen as in situations she can't get out of, that's what always comes up. Seeing the new and improved Sandy through Nikki's eyes too, really highlights how far she's come. And god, she is so much fiercer than I think Scott ever thought he was capable of. That glare at Nikki's dad, the one fist tightly clenched while her other hand holds Nikki's... powerful imagery in those two shots alone! I do wonder if the rancher is just being polite, or if he really is remembering Nikki being a little tomboy! Even if he knew the truth at the time, one could forgive him seeing Nikki now and thinking he must have incorrectly assumed she was a boy all those years ago. Poor Nikki having to juggle all these different perceptions of her across different groups of people, though... it's gonna get difficult to keep her stories straight if this keeps up.

Phoebe Nocturne

Sandy is back and immediately made an impression. A bit ironic that the more feminine of the two was the only one able to stand up to her father. Wonder if Nikki will grasp that being a woman does not automatically mean being timid and subservient, regardless of how Hutchinson is directing her to be. But with the old rancher introduced at the same time I feel like there's going to be more of a tug-of-war with her identity going on. He's like the masculine ideal for Nikki, but Sandy represents what she could be. I can easily see her being envious of both of them for how masculine and feminine they are, respectively. Also, can we expect to see her ready for her date in the next update? Would be a nice little Christmas present.

Richard Head

I will be voting. I'm also looking forward to the next tie-in with Jill.

Kris Greg

Oooohh - voting on hairstyle? Will Beehive be one of the options? Or - 40's Victory Rolls?

Elrod W

Loved it! I'd love to see Nikki with darker hair, in contrast to Sandy getting lighter hair recently! And why not, black nail polish too!

Alex94

Oooooooooooh.nice

DJ

So excited to hear that! And yes I too love the dynamic between Nikki and Sandy. It is in fact very "sisterly". I am curious to see the impact the make-over, the date, and the coming influence of Sandy and company (Loren and Evie, and possibly Jill for a brief cross over???) will have on Nikki, especially as the school year begins and she needs to start more publicly assimilating to her new body image for her own safety, both with Hutchinson, attending what I assume is a Christian College (St. Christopher's) and small town Texas in general. Will we see her monologues change much? Less gym-bro Nick in tone and more young Nicky/Nikki and more often in pink rather than green? I have a feeling though Hutchinson is not a "forgive and forget" kind of guy. I have to think he has some type of punishment in store for Nikki, despite Zack's intervention. After all she not only defied him, she let his "toy" go and attacked him. Could the dreams of Jill's sacrifice, the gelding horse and gelding knife Hutchinson came at her with all be foreshadowing of something yet to come? Could it be a sacrificial choice she makes to protect someone else or serve a higher good? All so fascinating. All so exciting to watch and read play out. And oh such a long wait for that next episode. Can't wait to see what you have coming out in December to keep us all occupied and engaged until the next episode of Half Sisters. Hopefully we will see another episode of Jack and Jill take us closer to another climax. The Catch is getting really good right now, and of course we are so waiting for Homecoming Season 3! Tis the Season in deed!

Diana O'Neil

Prefer Nick keeping the old hairstyle. Adds that bit of tension and anticipation. Would not mind an infection down there so that he has to have SRS and deal with that and better still also has ovaries implanted so he has periods and has to adjust to that as well. Finally, he gets attracted to men, and refuses to admit it and in a moment of weakness has sex with a man and is in denial even though he loves it.

Soupy Dog

That’s actually Nikki’s mom! From the memory of the picture that we saw of them when Nikki was about 8 years old. ♥️

Emory Ahlberg

Great scene, really shows that Nicks still underneath all that, but when s/he realizes it's scott, i love how the letter-writing stops and it switches to calling her sandy.

DJ

Oh voting! Yes, I love it. I'mma place my order now for bigger boobs and a sexy dress/heels. Is that a choice? probably not. But... maybe?

DJ

This is so great. I can't wait for the next "Salon" chapter and to see Nikki's glowup. She's going from girl next door to new york model-statue-esque.

DJ

Ok... If that's future Nikki? Babaaaam. Also Sandy might be stealing the show in page 36. wow You outdid yourself Emory, incredible render. Wouldn't mind seeing Nikki grow into a mini-Sandy (but not mini in the places where it counts!) for the next beach / pool pics.

DJ

"I hopped on bareback" lollllllll foreshadowing much?

DJ

Thanks, Tim! Poor Nikki isn't just changing her body, she's being forced to reconstruct her entire understanding of identity, masculinity, femininity, and vulnerability. Yeah, it's a good thing that "big sis" Sandy is back... even though she's quite a bit smaller than Nikki! 😂 That death glare she gave Nikki's dad was a lot of fun to create lol

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you! More to come! 💕

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Kris! You will get a chance to guide some of it, as well! I'm excited to see the votes. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Omaga! Nikki's reaction to Sandy was super fun to write - a moment of total disorientation where she's simultaneously shocked and weirdly attracted, hehe. I'm really looking forward to revealing her "final" date appearance. I want her inherent personality to shine through whatever makeover Sandy manages. Her athleticism, her sass, her competitive spirit - those don't disappear just because she's wearing makeup or getting her nails done. 😉

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you! Your gushing gave me big smiles, as always. 💕

Emory Ahlberg

Yay! Thanks, Diana! I really love the dynamic between Nikki and Sandy! I was super excited to get them back together. Sandy handles Nikki's energy really well. She can go toe-to-toe with her in a way that's both supportive and (when necessary) confrontational. December will have an episode! Appreciate you being so invested in the story! 💖

Emory Ahlberg

We're just hours away now from Nikki's date with Zach. I'm dying to find out what surprises you have in store for us, Emory, when that finally goes down. But first, we get to see Sandy (and her unlimited credit card) work her magic on her "li'l sister," coaxing the beautiful butterfly out of her cocoon.

If I ever thought about anybody who would potentially deserved of being cared by mr davis... i have two candidates... father of Nikki and father of Zach... and it would be quite a nice challenge for ms hatchet errr i mean ms hatcher... those two will be rather directed at "milf" level because of their age... and when finished i would give them back to Nikki and Zach so they could train them as personal maids...

It was a bit of a long wait, but totally worth it. I can't wait to see how Nikki looks after her makeover!

Great episodes 🥰🥰. I love Nikki’s first impression reaction to Sandy’s makeover 🤯 and that he almost tried to hit on her 😂. I can hardly wait to see Nikki’s transformation from his own makeover and to see just how breathtaking she can be when she tries 🥵

I gushed over this elsewhere so here I will just say: ..................YEAH

I could not sleep and could not wait. Had to read it as soon as it hit. Two long and amazing episodes! It is starting to happen! Yea! But of course, you are such a tease, because as good as it was you left me wanting so much more. Now i have to wait and hope there is at least one more episode in December! I can only hope and pray it will be two more extended play episodes. I promise Santa, I've been a very good girl!
