You Pick the Caption!
Added 2020-12-06 20:31:12 +0000 UTCI'm in the mood for a historical caption. I like these, especially because what it means to be a man or a woman has changed through history.
But what time period should we visit?

Exacly! Think about the setting: Versailles, 17th century. A beautiful palace and the huge gardens. The royal court: nobles and courtesans, fancy dresses and wigs. A powerful family with a calculating mother, a powerful king and a brother: Philippe of Orleans a young man who feels much more as a girl, a meek shepherdess, than the brother of the king of the most important kingdom in Europe. And "The Chevalier": Phillippe of Lorainne: he would really love Philippe of Orleane or he would be just a ruthless golddigger? thinking much more about money and power than his little girl?

2020-12-08 23:02:42 +0000 UTCThis is incredibly interesting, Ucci. Thank you for the tip! I'll look into this more. Seems his mother started this all off my calling him "my little girl" and encouraging him to dress as a female even as a young man.

2020-12-08 20:08:37 +0000 UTCGood choice, Andy. I'm a little shocked the 50's one didn't get more traction.

2020-12-08 04:01:03 +0000 UTCI went with medieval because I liked it more then the future idea. But I probably would have voted for the fifties one. I love those fun vintage looks and rockabilly dresses.

2020-12-07 16:01:53 +0000 UTCuhmmm I'm so unsure about middle age... or future sci-fi :P :P About middle age... ( well not middle age because it was during the Modern Age) I would like to suggest you something interesting about Philippe I, Duke of Orléans, brother of the "Sun King" Louis XIV . He lived openly as crossdresser during 17th century at his brother's royal court at Versailles and he had a love story with "The Chevalier" Philippe of Lorraine a famous nobleman. wikipedia for more information :P https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippe_I,_Duke_of_Orl%C3%A9ans it would be interesting to do a story about them. Well... maybe it could be a bit more romance than historical reality and maybe Philippe d'Orleans could be a bit more pretty and femine after all... like Nikki for example :P :P

2020-12-07 06:11:51 +0000 UTCLOL - Sorry to make the decision hard for you, Andy. I love historical captions, so the others might happen on their own. Which did you choose?
