I woke up and decided I wanted a magic stick.
So I made one.
All along I had to kept telling myself "Trust the Process" because I didn't expect it to turn so good !
I'm so proud and it made me felt so good. I mean, who wouldn't be happy to be a wizard, really.
⊹₊⟡⋆ So here is a lil tuto on how you can join the order of the Wizards of Elysior Kingdom ⊹₊⟡⋆
First, get a broom stick. Or any stick really, but broom ones work well and are "human" size. Of course you could.take a smaller one to make a magic wand.
Wrap it of aluminium to get the shape you want.
(I'd recommend to use wire if you want more intricate shapes and then wrap it of aluminium, but I didn't need it.)
Then I covered it of clay and hot glue.
Here waq my mistake; Glue doesn't...glue on clay.
It worked in the end, but i'd recommend to choose clay or glue but not both at the same time.
When I realized my mistake I got slighltly desperate and thought I'd ruin it.
So I made long thread of glue (turning the stick with one hand) so it would stay on better.
In the end, it worked well enough for me to continue.
I added glue all over the stick to create textures, and once it dried, it was ready to be painted.
Use a primer or, like me a "Leak repair spray".
I got mine at Action, but I guess you couls find type of product pretty much anywhere. I used it because I wantes to make sure it would fill any holes ans make it smooth and matt, and it's the one I used to prepare eva foam for paint and it works perfectly.
Because I was so concentrated, and when I'm in my bubble it's hard to take me out of it, I forgot to take pictures of the rest of the process.
Once the primer was dry, I painted the roots with silver acrylic and for the blue flames on top, I've cutted all the flames shapes in a blue plastic sheet before sticking them to the staff.
(I've also used a straightener to curl the shapes and make it more wavy. It adds movements and it look more like a flame.)
Then I glued the stones using B700 glue.
