BHSAF 148: Sleepover 23

I feel bad about making Airi sad.

However, it would be even more painful to make Yui sad because of this. With this in mind, Yuu was about to open his mouth to refuse.

Yu felt a gentle tap on his shoulder. It was obvious that it was Yui's doing, and although he was a little scared, he turned his attention to Yui.

My eyes met with Yui's, who had an indescribable expression on her face. Without saying a word, she simply lip-synced, "It's okay."

"...Um, Someya-senpai. If it's not okay, please don't worry about it and just tell me."

Airi, worried that Yu had gone silent, said this.

Yu never expected Yui to give permission, and was so surprised he was at a loss for words.

Although he wants to ask Yui about her true intentions, he cannot do so because she is keeping her existence a secret from Airi. In the end, Yuu decides to believe Yui's words.

"It's okay, next Saturday. Let's go out together."

"T-Absolutely! You must keep your promise!"

Airi emphasizes this with a happy tone of voice. Her attitude is adorable.

"It'll be okay, trust me."

"Yay!! Then, Someya-senpai, please come next Saturday!"

The girl in love with Yu's words replied happily and hung up the phone.

That's the end of the story. But the real problem begins here.

"Um... Yui."

I put my smartphone away and looked over to see Yui smiling brightly.

"What is it, Yu-kun?"

"I only like Yui. Even though she's Yui's sister, I don't have any feelings for Airi as a member of the opposite sex."

"You're so weird, Yu-kun, for saying something like that when you haven't heard anything."

 scared.

Frankly, if there was something going on, I wish they had said it directly.

"Well, um..."

I was thinking about what I should do.

"Hehehehe... Hehe, Yu-kun, I was just kidding, just kidding. I told you earlier to refuse if you didn't want to."

"I see... That's good. I was just thinking that I'd made Yui mad and was wondering what to do."

"If you're angry, I won't let you date Airi in the first place."

"But was it really okay? Going on a date with Airi-chan?"

"As long as we're just going out together, that's fine. Yu-kun, I'll let you hold hands, but I won't let you kiss or have sex."

She was only willing to forgive him going on a date with Airi because it was her, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't mind him going out with other women. The most Yui was willing to compromise on was holding hands, and anything beyond that she couldn't resist, no matter how much of a beloved sister she was.

In that case, she might have been able to get Yu to refuse, but Yui knows that Airi has always had devoted feelings for Yu. Although she hasn't heard it directly, Airi isn't trying to hide it, and as her older sister, Yui knows that much.

That's why I wanted to reciprocate her feelings, even if just a little.

"It's okay, the only person I love is Yui. I'm not so shameless as to make a move on someone other than the one I love."

"Yes, I believe you. You're my husband after all."

Yui feels at ease and can trust what he says as he looks her straight in the eye.

"Then let's watch a movie that Yu-kun recommends together."

Yui gets a call from Airi and is ready to enjoy a home date that had been put on hold. What Yui wants to do is watch a movie.

He usually watches movies and dramas on his computer in his room, but he can also watch the video streaming sites that Yu uses on the TV in the living room.

It's fine if Yu is watching it alone, but if he's watching it with Yui, it would be better to watch it on this big TV rather than on a small computer screen.

Yuu leads Yui to the sofa and sits close to her.

"It's an old movie, but is it good?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. What's it like?"

I asked him with amusement what kind of movie Yu would choose.

"It's a human drama for all ages. There are some slightly naughty scenes, but that's about it."

Surprisingly, Yui is generally okay with gory or gruesome scenes, as long as they're not so gory that they deserve an R18 rating.

"So, is it okay?"

While enjoying the conversation, Yu operates the controls and plays his favorite show on the TV, a show he has watched countless times and still never gets tired of.

"Oh, this is the one I've heard of before... I'm looking forward to it."

It's not a huge hit, nor is it a recent film. However, it is treated as a masterpiece known only to those in the know, and is still often mentioned by most movie fans.

Yui is also an actress, so she seems to be aware of his existence.

Yu feels the urge to tell him what scene is interesting and how this is actually a foreshadowing, but he keeps quiet because he knows how much of a nuisance that would be.

I'll talk about the details after I finish watching the movie with Yui.

Yu began to quietly watch the movie with Yui, eagerly waiting to see how she would react when they finished watching it.
