I-Land 2 EP 6 Reaction

Did the producers pick the right Top 6?

I-Land 2 EP 6 Reaction

I voted for Sujung, Jeemin, Koko, Yui, Juwon, and Soul when I watched this. Sujung and Koko both had such explosive growth. Soul and Yui always felt impactful to me with their facial expressions. All of them were able to sing and dance well though Soul and Yui didn't sing as well if they didn't feel confident or if the notes were on the edge of their range so I was least confident at the time in Yui and Soul getting through. I ended up switching part way through and voting for Yuju instead of Soul when I started doubting she'd make it through since they were pretty even for me.

At the time I voted Jeemin Koko Lingling Yuju Sujung and Juwon! I felt like they impacted the show and showed either talent or growth and could bring a lot to a group.

I hate the drama. I get that for some people it’s entertaining but these two are LITERAL TEENAGERS 😅 it is a normal behaviour. Hormones, awkwardness, pressure of being on camera jesus in their age I would be behaving so much worse probably

I think in this episode, some of the editing was very slanted, like you mentioned with part 5. I also think Jeemin was somewhat edited out of the performance, which was unfair. I thought Yuji did better than Mai but the producers seem to love Mai, maybe because she is so pretty. I think Jeemin may have been the most popular at the time when the show was airing. I think it is because she and some other girls on R U Next, were done dirty on that show. There was a ton of backlash on that show when it ended because the producers picked and not the fans. The producers went for some girls who were obviously less talented, because they were super young and cute, but really not close to being as talented as Jeemin and 1 or 2 other girls. I feel bad for Illit because i think they lost a lot of fans because of R U Next, and it wasn't their fault that they got picked.

Will you maybe react to R U NEXT? its a survival show where Jeemin was and ILLIT was formed.

Hi ! So happy to see your reaction when waking up this morning ! :D So, for this episode, personally I liked Team A the best, I don't know it still gives me chills even watching it many times (and the full perf' without the edits and reactions in the middle as well as some fancams). Saebi is just one of those born idols, her aura, emotional delivery, stage presence plus her skills just is a very strong combo. And she just looks like she enjoys the stage so much in every performance. Also, at this time the 6 people I voted for were Koko, Sujung, Jeemin, Yuju, Yui and Yeeun. (I know there is other trainees more skilled than Yeeun but I really think she probably had the biggest improvment on the show until this point. So I was curious to see what more she could do). Oh and I just wanted to say about Jeemin, even though I didn't watch R U Next (the previous suvival she was on, that formed Illit), it explains why she was so hurt not to be picked by the producers. If I understood correctly she was one of the most popular trainee on the show, but was eliminated because it was producers choice, not fan vote for the debut line up and she wasn't picked by the producers. So, I think for her, even though she knows she will probably be fine with the fan voting, not being recognized by the producers (the actual professionals) for the second time probably hurts a lot. Especially her confidence with skills, not popularity. Can't wait to watch your reaction to the next episode, and then Part.2. It's going to be so interesting for Part.2 ! :D

Hi Jeff! I loved the reaction!!! It's always so interesting to see your take as a performer!!! I'm not sure if you know this or not, but there is a reason why Koreans say "don't cry!" I was super confused about this and didn't really like it as well (especially as a psych major!), so I asked one of my Korean friends why they say it and explained how it sounds negative to some foreigners. She explained that "don't cry" translates to "don't cry because it hurts me to see you like this" feeling/vibe. It's like they're saying "I don't want you to be sad and hurt as it hurts me to see you this way." In this context, it definitely wasn't said that way (EXTREMELY uncalled for imo ), but like I think you mentioned this in a boys planet reaction when one of the trainees told Hanbin "it's okay to cry" because it wasn't the usual "don't cry." Idk this may not change your opinion which is TOTALLY fine (I loved your mini session!) but wanted to share this piece of info with you because I wasn't vibing with it at first as well haha.
