Breakneck - Animatic Concept
Added 2020-04-02 06:04:37 +0000 UTCDoing animations in the style of Ping Pong, the animation! Studio 4C has both my favorite anime / movie adaptations of Tekkon Kinkreet and Ping Pong. It's well shot, well composed, very good symbolism, snappy, great sound design, I can watch the movies over and over for deeper understanding.
What I like a lot too is their simple approaches to drawing. It makes the animation more readable and clear, sometimes it looks ugly but I think it adds both to the charm and effect of the animation.
Here's a showdown between the Skeleton Boss, Coyote, and Kin. Kin and Coy team up to defeat the Skele, and he wants to take them both down with his wire and eye powers. Skele doesn't feel threatened, more frustrated and annoyed at his reality. Normally this would be up in the comic / animation tier, but I'm giving you guys a freebie for being patient with me, I plan to post regularly this month as it becomes more of my job.
