The choreographer actually works with SM, he is one of their top choreographers. He most often works with EXO; Love Shot, Obsession, Kokobop, Lotto, 24/7 were all choreographed by him. @mihawkback is also the one behind lots of SM concert performances and arrangements. He was also back-up dancer for Super Junior, TVXQ and EXO at their concert tours. Quite an awesome guy.

just btw, they didn't show a lot fo trampoline work because the trampolines were mainly for jumping onto the actual stage (that's why you saw them practicing jumping onto the table from the trampoline- cuz they needed to practice jumping onto a different level)! u can see a little bit of trampoline work in the behind-the-scenes snippet on RTK (the part before their actual performance). I think that's probably why they didn't work with it much on this practice, they needed the actual stage to practice on!

They did have the same choreographer as svt! for bloom bloom and reveal choreo, but the choreographer and team for road to kingdom was different! actually the choreographer worked with taemin for danger back in the day c:

YES! but I don't know that he works for SEVENTEEN too. I only knew him actively with SM groups. Mostly, EXO. He is the choreographer of EXO Love Shot.

oh i thought it was my laptop or internet going crazy xD i restarted them twice. still a great video Jeff! i love your explanations for all the choreography decisions they make, its always helpful to get that perspective. just curious, have you watched the original dance practice of Danger by Taemin? of coz it doesn't have the same theatrical grandeur of this cover, but I did enjoy it very much for a solo performance (with some bg dancers)

Haha yes so sorry about that! Idk what happened 😂 I recorded 2 one hour shows and this one was only 30 mins so it couldn’t have been the length. And I also filmed like 4 more vids after this. I’m so lost 😂 Yeah, although they are filming so maybe they figure that a lot of people will see them so they need to look great 👍🏽

I COMPLETELY agree that the camerawork did not do the performance justice. I didn’t see half the tricks and transitions and pictures until I watched this and I was so shook. The boyz are so mindblowingly talented. I had hoped for other groups to do better but I also loved the boyz so I couldn’t be mad they won because their teamwork and all was on every single stage every single time.

Hi jeff, it seems like you are really curious about the tricks for tbz performances so i suggest you may check out the performance director and choreographer of the boyz for their rtk performances on his ig @mihawkback, you may look into some of his other works too. He works at tapaha dance studio and he has posted the boyz rtk on his ig too 😁
