I don't stan Pentagon yet, but as soon as he waved goodbye to Jin Ho I started crying and from then on I couldn't control my tears. that performance was so beautiful.

2020-11-05 03:15:48 +0000 UTCTo be honest what I felt a little bit unfair for this one is that The Boyz are (probably) the only one who got a dance instructor, an epic one to be exact. Not biased cuz I do love The Boyz and I rank them first as well, but just like you asking "how did they think of these?" but they didn't, their instructor was the one who thought of these. I understand your comment on what competition dances should be like, though I do feel it is a bit unfair for the groups who made their own choreo (at least from the clips TOO, Pentagon, etc, was discussing about adding certain dance moves) and may not have not much experience about making a competition choreo yet.

When I played your reaction on episode 2, I thought I needed to watch the whole episodes on my own first and before going back to see your reactions. I have to watch everything all over again now but no regrets. Every performances are great and well-thought of. Also, I mentioned that I came here first for Mihawk but after I finished the show, I became interested more with The Boyz, and Verivery. Although I know them a little, this show made me want to know them more and possibly stan. Also, I loved the Danger performance from The Boyz so much. They want to fly, to disappear, and to do tricks? Mihawk says we'll make sure everything they want happens 100% LMAO each of the members personalities are interesting Actually, V-Cut is love LOL

2020-06-06 03:27:21 +0000 UTCI don't know if anyone has said but the guy you keep referring to in Golden Child is Lee Jang-jun and he is my favorite member because he is crazy. His first appearance on Weekly Idol was with another group called Weki Meki and he got caught mimicking their choreography from the back of his group. Needless to say that was the first instance of his personality shining very bright. The clip is hilarious. He also decided to tell the YouTube channel Dingo that he was their son and they decided to take him up on that random comment. If you look up Jang-Star it is his own little show with them that highlights his ability to know no boundaries. He is amazing.

I will withhold judgment till i see where you place the boyz because I had so many feelings about the rankings this episode! ~~~ I know you never want to be influenced by outside opinions in creating rankings but TBZ did exceptionally well, playing to their strengths while simultaneously venturing outside of the box. They highlighted their members really well (something I personally thought got even better in Reveal). I can't recall some of the other performances as well but I remember Rising Sun and TOP (TOO and Golcha) were exceptionally good as well but the stage didn't feel like a competition stage it felt more like awards show stages. The momentum was really only in TBZ's performance as well as the acting and the clean choreography. The stunts and the concept embellished it which paid great homage to the original performers. The imagery in Rising Sun was absolutely staggering while the arrangement of TOP and the theatrical dancing was captivating in Gol Cha who SOLIDLY deserved better. ONF's performance was good! Solid! but not terribly memorable and I'm a huge Shawol so that was surprising. The ranking in this episode disappointed me but oh well there's nothing to do about it!

I don't know too much about dance or music but as a visual artist I appreciate so much all your detailed comments about art in general. I was pretty sad with Golden Child position because their performace had a super big impact on me. I agree 100% with you about OnF, they were really good & the stage was amazing but idk why they didn't connected with me? I'm a big fan of Pentagon because I like groups that compose & create their owns songs/coreography, so this episode was really special. Please, react in the future to Jinho singing, specially Gethsemane from the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. I never feel that much with a cover, it gave me CHILLS. For me is the best one of all the Magazinehos. Raw emotions, 10/10. PS: Sorry if I made some mistakes I'm not confident about my english PS 2: For me Eric is the perfect mix between Jeno & Xiaojun!

Hopefully more people will see that these are families. When tough times happen like the ones you mentioned, it does affect the group. It was a beautiful tribute that not many people can experience so I’m glad they were able to do it on this show 😊

Btw I enjoyed more of this version than the cut version in episode 2. Even thought it’s like watching the whole episode again, it’s fine. Queendom is a really good show the line up there is star studded. But RTK is on another level, glad you’re enjoying the show.

He's inarguably one of the best male vocalists in kpop and the RTK performances don't even begin to give him justice. I recommend #02: When I Was Your Man, #04 Lay Me Down ft. Hongseok (the guy with abs), and #21: Jesus Christ Superstar. Love the uncut reactions btw, so excited to see what you think about the other performances!

For more behind the scenes, I know Mnet puts out some behind the scenes videos but The Boyz put out their own behind the scenes videos for their performances on their YouTube and they do get subbed! It just may take a while before the subs are up for newer videos posted. Also, I'm glad you understand the military thing, I've seen a few people saying Pentagon were "laying it on thick" and being "over dramatic" which is just not true :l Pentagon has been through many hardships, years of training together, a survival show together, E-Dawn (a friend and one of the main producers for them along side Hui) left the group, their Chinese member Yanan was injured and had to take a hiatus and his status in the group is currently unknown, he's posted on his personal social media that he is healed and ready to come back to the group but Cube has not been giving him any information and sometimes not even responding to him. So they are already dealing with members missing and now the dependable oldest member is going off for two years...it's heart breaking :c two whole years they have to go without him, two whole years Jinho has to go without doing what he loves most, performing. And after his service is up, or maybe even during Jinho's service, Hui (their leader) will have to start getting ready to enlist as well :l It's a tough situation

There is nothing sadder and cuter than Hui crying - except for EVERYONE crying - if you listen you can even hear the cast taping crying !!!! Ugh 😩 watching it again does not make u immune. Jeff you said you want more behind the scenes and their is a bunch put out by mnet on YouTube- not all are translated. But their is some good content! E-tion and Wyatt from ONF stole the hilarity spotlight from Sunwoo(the Boyz) and Jangjun (GC) this ep. E-tion forgot his calming pills for sure this time! I thought he was going to have a heart attack watching the BOYZ 😂😂 He was like “Aww shit we’re done - they won” 😆 I knew 4th was either GC or TOO. These boys are getting more and more competitive and it’s making them more and more creative! This show is on 🔥 - Pentagons performance was lacking power but not emotion - I hope they win for Jinho- but and I say this because I have seen 4 - the other performance KICK ASS!

I hope people will keep viewing the performances objectively, so the votes will actually reflect the groups' skill, and not size of fanbase. Another thing - I saw someone comment about The Boyz' practice videos and just wanted to say that I would absolutely love a reaction to those! There's really a lot of details that go unnoticed on stage, and the creative process is super interesting to watch as well.

So far I think The Boyz are kind of kicking everyone else's ass, but let's see how they do next episode! TOO also had some beautiful choreography. The group that made me watch this is actually VeriVery. I discovered them through their collaboration with RIverse Live (another youtube react channel), and thought they were so funny and adorable, so when I heard they would be on this show, I thought I should check it out. But they need to step it up, for sure!

All these boys are very talented and it’s a shame that they don’t get enough credit in the outside world and have to resort to a show like this. I know I’m watching it from a perspective that this show is just publicity/entertainment and something to experience for them than actually trying to get validation for their talents through competition. We also have to take into account that everyone in this competition are hella talented. Some will move up and some will move down. At the end of the day, everyone in the competition are winning as they are getting publicity, they get to perform with MAMA-like budgets and have the potential to do a comeback post-show that could be very successful 😊

The Golden Child member you like so much (he’s also my favorite) is called Jangjun and he’s the main rapper and variety king (obviously) of Golden Child. Ohh yeah and this is a small detail but ONF team name isn’t pronounced as O.N.F, it’s actually OnNofF and when I’m already talking about them, it would be really cool if you could check out their mv‘s (their two most recent ones are basically short movies). If you’re looking for perfect synchronization then Golden Child is your go to Group. They are the younger brother group from Infinite and Lovelyz and just like their seniors they are known for their very stable live vocals and perfect synchronized dances.

I really enjoyed all the performances, but pentagon's stage really got me emotional, they went through a lot as group who had lost a member because it was confirmed he was in a relationship, and another member is on he is hiatus. Overall, I really respect them and I hope more people get to know them more because they are so talented and have great teamwork despite the hardships they have faced.

I'm glad you really liked The Boyz! Their performance were truly amazing. My ranking was The Boyz, Golden Child, ONF, TOO, Pentagon, Oneus, VERIVERY. I have started on ep 4, and so far i LOVE The Boyz and TOO the most. Has not listened to TOO's debut song beforehand, and was so impressed by their performance that i had to look up their debut mv ;) My favorite Oneus song is the one they perform, and it was great, but only put them on third place, for now. I'm exited to continue watching the rest of the performances. I like that this show make me look into groups i probably would not have given a chance otherwise as i felt like too much of a multifandommer as it was. Lol. Why not expand?

2020-05-21 22:09:23 +0000 UTChey, jeff! im really glad you kept on reacting to rtk and that so many people are supporting you rn! id like to say a few things tho... pentagon is a group full of talented men (just like all the other ones in rtk and in kpop as well) and they've been through a lot since their debut. they work their asses off to show their best each and every time and there was a comment up here saying that they did not deserve the position that they got (2nd place) and it just made me so sad. and i say that bc its so clear that all of them worked hard on their performances and that they are so supportive of each other bc they know the hardships they have to go through as teams so yeah.... i really dont understand this type of comment. its completely okay to have a fav group, but saying this type of stuff seems pretty rude. anywayssss jeff i know this is completely off topic, but id love to see you reacting to izone!!! their choreos are so beautiful, full of imagery and they're pretty synchronized too! 💗 (sorry i wrote a book chapter here in your comments)

It looks like they’re dedicating an episode to each member (the episodes are about 12mins long) so it’s a great way to get to know the members better :) it’s on their official YouTube Channel with English subs and all

It’s because they’re a rookie group I guess 🤷🏼♀️ Groups like ONF and Pentagon rearranged the songs very cleverly though and by themselves so I think that also is what got taken into account. When I thought about it like that I have to say the rankings did make more sense. Fun fact: this is actually a season 2 The first season was called Queendom and it was a girl group competition. Even if you don’t want to watch the whole show I still definitely recommend checking out some of the performances. Seriously Epic with a capital E. 😉 I really like these reactions of yours by the way. The fact that it’s uncut is actually really nice in this situation. It really feels like we’re watching the show together with you!
