I've never been entirely clear on the pad either, I think the ship was close enough that blowing up the pad sent debris through the ship.

2023-03-16 15:46:50 +0000 UTCTo some of your questions - if the pad were rigged with explosives and then blown up while the shuttle was landing, the explosive force, shrapnel, and debris from the pad explosion could have expanded from that point of explosion and hit the shuttle as it was coming down. On Bobbie, she briefly saw David's 'girlfriend' when she was entering the dock earlier right before she was detained for questioning, so connecting her to the killing isn't too big a jump. It was blink and you miss it though. Bobbie's feelings of listlessness and almost forced dedication to ideals that don't seem to matter anymore are probably being felt by a wide strata of Martian society. Glad you're intrigued by the season so far, it definitely is a bit different than the previous ones!
