They do that in "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here" where celebrities are asked to endure creepy crawlie type of phobias. That's a different kind of entertainment :)

Frank was analogous to the "Taskmaster" in the show, and each round would decide which of the contestants' things would go into Room 101. It was an inspired move to sign him up for Taskmaster, since he likely already got the concept.
