Season 3 was originally the end of the show. SyFy channel had not renewed it so they pushed to finish book 3 in this season.

2023-02-10 18:14:37 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite wtf Expanse cliffhanger endings and next episode is one of my favorites just for the technical achievement of the actors and crew remembering the environment they're supposed to be in, plus an awesome 2 second look at someone doing a really unique job. But the best part is some fantastic character moments with two characters/actors in particular. But I'm getting ahead of myself. "Monkeys and microwaves" is a reference to a passage in the book where they talk about how monkeys would continually misinterpret what a microwave is for or how to use it and would probably never figure out how to heat up a burrito in it. Like humans with the protomolecule.
