(HBOmax puts it at 1x21... which was its filming order, though 1x20 is S1's definitive finale. It would such be a let down after the finale. But it was actually aired as bonus ep in the middle of S2. The dvds do the right thing and keep it in the bonus features only. It has its moments, but doesn't contribute much. Best to just get it over with.)

In regards to the 'Unearthed' episode... most say to watch it anywhere after 1x16 - 1x18. And I think a good case can be made for after either 1x16 or 1x17. But after rewatching Unearthed and that block of episodes... I say that, yeah, stick with watching it after 1x16. Gets it over with before a more connected run of episodes.

Neil, I think you'll enjoy this easter egg tidbit on a production level as well. Not a spoiler, but similar to the Observer found in the episodes. Every episode contains a clue to the next episode. These required deep dives by fans... because they really can only be found in reverse. For example, in the previous ep, the book that Olivia was reading to Ella was called 'What's That Noise?'... same as the deadly video here. In ep. 6, The Cure... the meat thermometer, that Walter jammed into a dead guy's head in the diner, had ZFT encircled on the front (like a brand name). And then ep. 7 introduced David Robert Jones and ZFT. So each episode has a hint embedded for the next episode in some visual manner. Not easily noticeable. Honestly, hats off to the fans who originally discovered these things... otherwise I'd certainly never know.
