I totally missed that you did this one! I had to check it out immediatly. I had this on vhs, with a Swedish dub when I was a kid. And now I have a newly found appreciation for it. It's so lovely. Like you said, it's taken seriously which makes it very moving. Michael Caine did such a great job and the costumes and the music is amazing.
