Bobby and the cucumber sandwiches will never fail to amuse me, and it’s one of those great details that shows how well-thought out The Expanse is. Cucumbers would be considered a luxury on Mars, if they are grown there at all, because they take a huge amount of water to grow and yet have very little nutritional value. Bobby may never have tried such a luxury, so her ‘Holy crap, cucumbers?!’ makes a lot of sense. And the 52 people scene gives us a great glimpse into the Belter mindset, and always leaves me with a lump in my throat.
