I took it more as verbal chicken than actual bridge burning. Holden just needed to take the Roci off Tycho, by any means necessary, so he needed to take Fred down a peg or two... Just my interpretation of course. :)

Believe me, I'm so excited for Season 3!

This season is just astounding and season 3 will blow you away!

You're one of the more insightful and observant reactors to this show, and you catch a lot that others (and I) missed on the first watch. Everybody suspects Drummer at the beginning of this episode, thanks to some expertly subtle writer misdirection, and everybody is firmly Team Drummer after she shrugs Alex off, executes the two ringleaders and marches off, holding her bullet wound as if it's a scratch. Great writing and Cara Gee is phenomenal in the role. The other example of great writing, of course, is how, in just 3 scenes, they get us to care so deeply about 2 brand new characters so that, when Doris is spaced, it's a real gut-punch. And all of it makes sense. The perpetrators of all the action (on both the refugee ship and Tycho) have legitimate reasons for doing what they're doing, and it all drives the narrative in a believable and logical way. There is a growing belief in the belt that their day is coming, though there is major disagreement on how to get there. Ganymede obviously holds some answers to the protomolecule mystery but Mars knows more than it's letting on, and how exactly do J-P Mao, Errinwright and now Strickland figure into it all? What happened on Ganymede and why? Looking forward to Bobbie and Avasarala interacting at the peace summit, whenever that happens, and to getting some answers. I'm sure I've said it before but from here to the end of season 3 is gonna knock your socks off.

While a cool line from Holden, it also seems kinda shortsighted to burn that bridge with Fred, since Tycho is the only save harbour we know of that they have so far. As they fly around in a stolen, sry legitimately salvaged, martian corvette, they can't just roll up on any port to get their ship fixed, similar to pirates and we already know that during combat you most likely gonna take damage, win or lose.

‘Holy shit!’ The standard response to Drummer being awesome. It’s understandable to start this episode with a feeling that Drummer might be helping Dawes, they clearly have a lot of history. But her conversation with Naomi and her actions during the attempted coup show that she answers to Fred alone now. So looking forward to the next episode, things just keep ramping up and it’s going to get insane! 😆
