GADZOOKS! TWO HQ releases in less than a day? this really is a 17 day-early christmas miracle!!!
anyways hello again, been busy going through my towering wall of twitter notifications built over the last week and a half of me being too occupied to open it. suffice it to say, my fingers are thoroughly exercised after responding to as much as i could (which is hardly a burden, i'm incredibly fortunate and thankful that the vast majority of people who follow my work are very positive and easygoing). if anything, my biggest concern of the day is that i might've unintentionally flooded people's feed with my dozens of responses :']
but overall, it's been a pretty laid back day - at least according to my twisted definition of laid back.
anywho, yeah. HQ release, let's talk about that now
despite being started and finished in a relatively short time span, im very pleased with how it turned out! redoing the physics mitigated a lot of the issues i was having with how it looked (adding more weight to the bits and bobs, as i mentioned in a previous post). and in terms of having it seamlessly loop, this one might just be my cleanest in a while.
i will say, the next time i end up inevitably animating her again, i might redo the shapekeys or set up an entirely new system for her eyes and mouth (yet again) because while they look pretty good as is; smoothly switching between the different mouths/eyes is tedious. in a perfect world, they'd all be one singular piece that can transition between each state with ease - but alas, this is not a perfect world. that being said, i still might look into figuring out a possible way to do that in the future if i'm feeling particularly masochistic.
since the render on this was way faster (and way less hardware intensive) than the last few and it'd take like 10 minutes of work to set up, i figure i might as well render a POV version for this as well (planning on rendering that either tonight or tomorrow night, depends on how long i'm planning to be up). it's not DRAMATICALLY different from this version in terms of the camera angle - but hey, what the hell.

STARING CONTEST GOthat's all i got for now, moving forward, my current plans are:
- getting the full animated WIP of the renamon animation ready to share (1-2 days)
- getting work done on the mal0 skit (recording lines and such)
- finishing up the ref of mari (that new character o' mine)
and probably more stuff that my brain is too fried to remember off the top of my head.
