W.I.P #83 (Animated) - Rory X Jeane

my new years resolution is to stick to my time estimates better and so far, i'm glad to say i've stuck to that resolution for a whopping one day (hold your applause).
here's the second animated WIP for this project which includes both the first and second poses. i decided to hold off on animating the faces for now (aside from some little things in the second pose, such as blinking), but everything else seems to be in working order! while it was tempting to try making a smooth transition between both poses, there are just way too many moving parts for my brain to keep up with and i'd rather not risk breaking anything in the process.

moving forward, my plans are now:
- fully animate the faces for both poses
- finish animating the intro (as well as the short outro)
- add some polish and adjustments where needed

depending on how much i am able to get done in the next day or so, i'll then decide on whether to do a third pose or not (right now i'd say it's about a 50/50 chance, heavily dependent on how much time i think it'll take).
regardless, i'll be sure to put out a final animated WIP before then to showcase the full thing (and share if i'll be doing the third pose or not in that post).
till then, i'm gonna get back to work on this (along with the 2b joke bit - more on that below). hope you like my progress! looking forward to sharing more with you guys soon :]

so regarding the aforementioned 2b joke bit - it's in the works and should be ready tomorrow morning. though for the hell of it, here's a little sneak peek of what's coming.
figured since nier automata is a heavily robot-focused game involving war, this would be as good of an opportunity as any to indulge in my adoration for a certain other robot-focused game involving war that i have a certain history with.
