Dev Log #6 - There is beauty in 4K and some popularity poll results.

I have great news guys, I can finally work with 4K! I've been having problems related to resolution but everything is fixed and now I can properly pump some better quality renders overall. Not only in 4K but 1080p renders will also look better from now on.

I'll mostly use 4K for special renders and wallpapers, the main game will still be in 1080p for accessibility reasons, I don't want the game folder to be tripled in size. Maybe in the future if there's a demand for it I can make some sort of optional 4K mod.

I also went back and remade Prime Girl - Special Render #2 because I've also learned some new secrets and techniques, you can see the lightning and shadows are way better than the original render, but also texture and scene composition, etc...

Some of you may think "Why you waste so much time with special renders?" and the answer is simple: Because it's fun and productive at the same time! Doing special renders from time to time doesn't interfere with my capability of making the game, in fact it's very beneficial because think of it like I'm constantly learning and improving my ability to make scenes. It takes around 2 hours for me to make a special render of a girl, and every time I do one I learn so many new things, it's like an RPG where I train, get experience and level up every time I do it. And it also means I'll have eyecatch images to use in game transitions and have promotional images to showcase the game for people around the internet.

So you can bet the main game and Episode 1 release will look even better (visually speaking) than the Prologue (Beta), like a lot! I'm really excited for the future, this game is so special to me and I hope you'll love it too.

Now let's take a look at the popularity poll, shall we?

Prime Girl and Bloody Countess are currently tied in the #1 spot. Aurora is in #2 and Red Hot in #3. Green Witch in #4 place and poor Sara in last place only got 1 vote =/

But remember this is only based on visuals alone, once the game releases and you get to spend more time with all the girls maybe this will change? We'll see.

That's it for now, I'll soon make a new Lore of Heroes talking about the genetics of superpowers, it's going to be very fantasy/sci-fi so if you're a real doctor or something please don't get mad at me. Like I said I didn't wanted to create a hard magic system and overcomplicate things but there's still some rules related to superpowers in Empire of Heroes, mostly to balance things out and avoid writing myself into a corner. If you like reading about nerdy stuff like that you're gonna love it.
