Glad to see you enjoyed this season! Chapter 9 (especially the torching scene) was probably one of the scariest moments of the whole series for me... Next season is also pretty good IMO (although it had divided opinions, just like this one). It unfolds in a very satisfying way.

yes, Lana BANANA 😭😭 also Kathy Bates should always be in S 😔 and Adina Porter really wowed me this season, I feel like she's underrated and her spot is rightly deserved 👑

Lana Banana ❤️ From mocking the crazy fans on the panel to the “Spirit Chasers”, I love how unserious this season is. It was really scary at times, had some of the most gruesome deaths, but knew how to make fun of itself and of media as a whole and did’t take itself too serious. Really enjoyable to watch

When this finale first aired live, sooo many people disliked it including myself. But it’s grown on me cuz there’s definitely worse finales in this show😅 still, it’s my fave season and will never be topped. Yes, Lee DID kill Mason, but either the ghosts or the Polks burned him and strung him up into that tree thing (but most likely the ghosts did that sometime after Lee killed him. Also, the “spell” Croatoan only works when it’s NOT during the blood moon cycle. Saying Croatoan any other time makes them go away for a while. But come back full force and ready to and able to, kill as soon as the blood moon starts. I wish Gaga came back for the second half of the season as just an actress like Monet, Audrey, etc. Would’ve been so interesting to see how her “actor” character would be. But she was also in the middle of her album rollout release for her album “Joanne” and also filming a documentary about her on Netflix called “Gaga: Five Foot Two” which even shows some behind the scenes of her filming for Roanoke. Cuz a lot of the times especially from this season on, they were still filming the final episodes as the season first started airing. So not much turnaround time between filming to airing. Sarah Paulson hated returning as “old Lana” as she calls her. And hates this season as a whole and felt contractually obliged to be in it. And the reason Lee basically got away with murdering some of the Polks and Monet because the weed she consumed at the Polk farm was “tested for highly hallucinogenic properties,” they say it in the Crack’d “episode” in the finale. So they were basically calling it magic pot and that’s what also led to Lee killing them as if she was high off her ass, which was one argument. And Lee was only possessed in the 9th episode when she escapes the Polk farm and is met by the witch Scathach (we found out via the show creator that Scathach is the confirmed first Supreme witch.. in America at least). So she was NOT possessed when she killed Mason. And Matt was never possessed, just under a spell put on him by Scathach to lure him to her so she could try and bang him. Excited for you to start next season!! It’s also wild. And perfect to watch now, if you know you know😅

Also you’re not alone in saying Lana is your fave Sarah Paulson character. I’m pretty sure she’s the fave for most people in the fandom and Sarah Paulson herself said it was her favorite character she’s ever played in her life.

SO happy you finally finished this season and that you appreciated the swings it took. After Asylum, it's probably my favorite overall. -Fun fact: Adina Porter, who plays Lee, was credited as a guest star the whole season which is funny because she ended up being the lead by the end. In reality it was just because she was starring in another show at the time and couldn't be a main cast in both but it kind of works as just another fun subversion anyway. (I also love how you were riding for her being innocent of killing Mason until the end haha). -Regarding Shelby going nuts and killing Matt, it works for me personally because I think it fits thematically. A big theme that can be pulled from this season is the specific dangers Black people face in America and I think it's very telling that what killed Matt wasn't any of the ghosts, cannibals or witch, it was an upset white woman. Next season is probably my least favorite (well at least of the ones I've seen, I fell off about halfway through season 10) but I'm still really looking forward to your reactions and what you think of it.
