2024-08-05 15:22:11 +0000 UTCDecent season overall but definitely has a lot of flaws that you guys don’t realize till you either rewatch or watch some videos on the criticism ( don’t bother with twitter ) The thing that I absolutely despise about this season is what they did with Alicent’s character. In season 1 she constantly tried to keep her sons safe from rhaenyra and loved them , she defended aemond in episode 7 when they stabbed his eye , stood in front of aegon against Meleys in episode 9 , constantly trying to keep helaena out of everything for her safety. She stood strongly by them and was the only one doing anything to protect them ( viserys didn’t give a shit about his kids except rhaenyra ) . After all of that she basically betrayed her sons in this episode 🤦♂️
