The Roanoke colony is absolutely real and is taught about in most public and private schools in the US. To this day no one knows where they went but the only thing left behind from them was a word carved into a tree “ Croatowin” .. *not referencing the show with this* learned this in school

Lady Gaga’s character is actually named Scathach but it’s never said in the show but confirmed by the creators. Someone else about her was confirmed later on by the creators but I won’t spoil it but has a cool connection to the past AHS. The actor who played Cricket sadly passed within the last couple years which is so sad cuz he has some memorable moments in AHS, especially this season. One of my fave characters in this show. Also I feel using “Croatoan” only works in this specific area, since that word was originally found in real life carved into a tree and found after a ship returned to Roanoke (the first colony) and found the whole colony deserted without a trace. One of the biggest mysteries in American history. So fascinating to me even since learning about it in school as a kid. So makes me a bit biased to this season since it’s right up my alley. And even more so as the season progresses 👀🎥
