As episodic television, this felt a bit meh. But as a piece of provocation against anti-woke Star Wars fan boys, this had a bit of brilliance to it (black lesbian witch mothers! Next the wookie Jedi will be transitioning and we can get some pronoun outrage). I would say that perhaps what we see isn't the full story, but limited perspective (Oshe's maybe?) The way the bodies are arrayed doesn't seem to corroborate what we've learned thus far, and either there's much more to this story or Torbin is prone to tragic overreaction (a bit like Tommen) as his sense of culpability doesn't match a self-imposed 10-year meditative punishment followed by a poison chaser. It is nice to see Dean Charles Chapman getting roles. I haven't seen him onscreen since he and his cousin (perhaps inspired by the familial affections of GOT) rubbed one out side by side at a pool table in that secretly recorded Omegle video. I will admit the climax of that production was much more satisfying than what we got here.
