There's a documentary on it, on Netflix - multiple suicides, murders, one notable mysterious death of a student (Elisa Lam), serial killers who stayed there (including Richard Ramirez), and just general creepiness!

For me, the 1st episode was so disturbing that it took me a few weeks to continue on with the series. Have you seen Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer starring Michael Rooker (Merle from The Walking Dead).

I'm not sure if you've ever seen the movie Changeling (with Angelina Jolie) but Ms Evers' backstory of her child going missing is linked to the true story behind that, the Wineville Chicken Coop murders.
