There's no significance, just happened to be what the shot was focusing on and they left it in for some weird reason.

I know some fans don't agree with Ser Criston as doesn't go that way in the book. But I think it adds emotion and flaws to the character which I don't think is a bad thing. With fire and blood there is definitely more room for expanding and alternating characters slightly given its not a book of factual evidence but collected opinions of events.
Looking forward to the remaining episodes reactions might find the next episode a bit of a jump from this one 😅

After Otto was banished and he said his tearful goodbye to Alicent, he hopped on his white horse and rode away. When he mounted the horse, the camera focused on his foot kicking the horse in the side. Was there any significance to that shot? Did I miss something or am I paying too much attention to his foot???

criston in all honesty was suggesting something that she would never agree to. she would have to leave her family, her comfort, her dragon, her honor, AND her crown to run away with a knight of her kingsguard that betrayed his vows. that’s not something that he should’ve expected to happen, im sorry. she can’t leave everything in her life behind to run away with someone who betrayed his vows.

I don’t think Joffrey was threatening Criston but I could see why it would look that way to him because of Joffrey’s tone of voice and the fact that he would be tortured and killed if his affair with Rhaenyra ever came out. I think the fact that his relationship with Rhaenyra was over by that point was a huuuuge contributing factor to why he killed Joffrey – Criston likely misread his intentions because of that.
