2023-07-13 19:25:33 +0000 UTCThe cliff where they Fall Out of their helicopters is called Preikestolen and is a national treassure of Norway. I was lucky to watch this in the theater in Stavanger, which is the closest city to this cliff. The crowd went nuts when the cliff appeared. Will never forget it! And yes, I have been hiking there as well, absolutely beautiful!

2023-07-09 01:48:33 +0000 UTCYou put in like 15 hours watching all the previous movies, I'd say reward yourself with seeing Dead Reckoning in theaters. Try to do IMAX or AMC Dolby if there's one near you. IMAX theaters will obviously take full advantage of the IMAX "aspect ratio" you pointed out a lot. In my opinion Fallout is the best action movie ever made and it's not particularly close, especially for those lucky enough to see it on the big screen back in 2018. No other action movie has this level of car chases, motorcycle chases, chase scenes on foot, aerial stunts (jumping from a plane, helicopter chase), hand-to-hand combat, etc. And then of course just the visuals of actually shooting in Paris, Norway, New Zealand, etc. I'm sure a lot of people would put something like Aliens or Terminator 2 ahead of it but I feel like that would only be for nostalgia reasons.

2023-07-07 02:38:48 +0000 UTCThe scene where walker says to the CIA lady that Hunt could be lark. He hands her the phone recovered from the guy in the Paris bathroom saying it could have evidence. If you go back to the bathroom scene you can see that the Asian guys phone was smashed. So early on they strongly hint at walker being bad. Also in the press for the movie, where the actors go on the talk shows etc, Tom let slip while talking about his ankle injury, he’s was chasing Henry Cavill. I think people assumed that if Henry Cavill is in the movie as a new lead character then he’s most likely the villain. Also because people wanna see Tom Cruise vs Henry Cavill, who’s about 20 years younger than Tom and about twice his size.

Yes the skydiving is real, a cameraman with a camera on his helmet jumped before Hunt to get the shot. The reason walkers mask fogs up is because that’s not Cavill, he wanted to do it but wasn’t experienced enough so Tom said no. The only reason his helmet has lights is so we can see it’s Tom. They did the stunt dosens of times to get it right. The lightening and Paris was cgi, they actually jumped over an empty field. Tom broke his ankle while chasing Cavill through London Brandt wasn’t here because he was busy filming something called avengers The white widow is the daughter of max from MI:1. The line about paradox’s was the give away. The scene where Hunt imagines killing French cops was filmed behind a white plastic sheet, because after all the terror attacks in France, the crew didn’t want French people to see police being killed again. The kiss the white widow gave Ethan was improvised by Vanessa Kirby Ethan and Luther are the only characters in all movies while Alec Baldwin was the first actor to play the secretary twice. 1.kittridge 2.Hopkins 3.fishborne 4.Wilkerson 5. Baldwin 6.Baldwin Tom learned to do helicopter acrobatics for this movie, 8 hours a day for 3 months to get certified and licensed. He did stunts in this movie experiences helicopter pilots wouldn’t risk, like the corkscrew. They had to film the helicopter scene in New Zealand because that’s the only country that gave the production permission to try these stunts. Sean Harris (soloman lane) said he hates doing franchises and only agreed to MI:5 on the understanding that his character would die so he couldn’t come back, and he was the first villain to survive and be brought back for the sequel, and once again they didn’t kill him lol No spoilers because I don’t know but I doubt that lane will be in dead reconning.

As far as i know Imax-Cameras are still too loud and very expensive thats why its very rare for Movies to be filmed entirely in Imax and especially difficult for dialogue scenes. Some Movies filmed entirely on Imax are, Avengers Infinity War/Engame,Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange 2, Avatar 1&2, The Suicide Squad, Fall 2022(I would love to see a reaction to Fall, Jefrey Dean Morgan is in it but not that much)...you can see some MCU movies in disney+ in the imax enhanced versions....some movies cannot be released in the imax version in bluray because of copyright issues its complicated..... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_released_in_IMAX

Tom Cruise’s slightly unbalanced stunt double who changed his name to sound more like Tom Cruise. It’s comedy gold. Dunno if it was for SNL or just something Tom and Ben decided to do for fun.
