Each house has their own words. Remember Maester Luwin teaching Bran all the words in S1? Starks: Winter is Coming, Lannister: Hear my Roar (not "a Lannister always pays his debts". a common reference but not their official words), Greyjoy: We Do Not Sow, Baratheon: Ours is the Fury, etc...

The end of this episode is one of my all time favorite moments from any series ever. Pretty sure we had similar reactions. Also your face when you realize that Daenerys could understand everything Kraznys was saying, epic moment there.
She has an army (the Unsullied) that will follow her out of both loyalty and love, something Jorah and Barristan were talking about in the previous episode, so she has the best of both worlds, hence their reaction at the end, smiling at each other. I love moments like that in this show.

So interesting how this show sometimes has minor characters that end up returning later on for bigger roles. Gonna make rewatching this show very fun

At 21:20, I started cracking up when you said "this is the first person to actually respect Theon?".

I think Syrio Forel, Arya's "dance instructor", was a pretty good fighter as well. He could have been a pretty good match against Baristan and Jamie. Too bad he fought those guards with a wooden sword.

This is such a great episode! For me, this where things really get good in S3 so enjoy the rest of the ride!

Beric Dondarian is actually in one scene in season one. When Ned sat the throne in episode 7 he tasked Beric with hunting down the Mountain for ravaging the Riverlands and to bring him to Justice. He was played by a different actor tho.
Technically Baristan Selmy is the greatest swordsman in the realm at this time but since he’s technically not in Westeros I guess you can say Jaime is. Or was because he lost his hand obviously. But not even two handed Jaime could beat Baristan.

Just a small pronunciation comment, Varys is Vair- Iss. Not Vare-Ies. Just to let you know 😁

Have you checked out Gay of Thrones? Jonathan Van Ness happens to be a huge GOT fan and does gay recaps of every episode in a salon. This ep: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zvIcY53vQI

I keep telling myself i'm gonna wait for you to upload a few of these before I go and watch them again as I always want more after the episode ends, but I clearly have no willpower against GOT.
