The ending was Darabont's idea not King's. In the book, they just drive off into the unknown. I was waiting for you to get to this movie. It's one of my favorites from King's adaptations.

2022-04-12 00:10:10 +0000 UTCWatched this movie in the cinema,during the scene where Ollie shot the religious woman,there was a huge cheer from the audience,most people started clapping,some stood up and clapped and there were other groups of people high fiving,it was just pure celebrations,never seen anything like it at the cinema before Credit to Stephen Kings writing and Franks directing that they can create characters like her and Percy from The Green Mile that just get people emotionally invested
