(it IS a very good song but not related much to the comic, except that when I heard it, I couldn't believe PUP did a song with a guitar line so reminiscent of the post-punk revival sound I love so much and that's the kind of sound I imagine Tennyson having!!)

Oooh some band name lore 👀🙌🏻 I didn’t really know him before, but I just read the book In Memoriam by Alice Winn about two men in love during WWI and one of them is a big fan of Tennyson (hence also the name of the book) so I had a flash when you mentioned it in the description of this page!

Originally, in early drafts, the band's name was Byron is Dead, which is what Tennyson carved into a rock in his grief when he heard Lord Byron had passed. So emo, so good, but not quite right for the boys. So instead I named it for Tennyson himself, bahaha! (Although, the in-universe reason for the band's name, at least at this point in my script drafting, is Denver lives on Tennyson Street!)
