Band Members: Stef Martin
Added 2023-08-05 01:46:07 +0000 UTCI am finally out of my lettering hyperfixation, and I have been itching to draw, SO. I'm now designing all the supporting characters in this story, starting with my favorite band member, Stef!!
Stef is Tennyson's bassist. He plays a Fender P-bass (in sunburst) when he's with Tennyson. He's also in a metal band, where he plays some six string monstrosity that I never intend to draw, so you'll just have to take my word for it.
Some other true statements about Stef:
- he is the youngest band member (but very likely the most responsible and least risk-averse)
- he is a perfectionist
- he is asexual and aromantic
- joining the band and dealing with Denver and Tomas's (coming soon!) antics will give him early grey hairs
- he could explain math metal to you if you asked him to (but don't ask, because I'm writing him, and I have no idea how to explain math metal. Something something non-standard time progressions something something)
The bands/artists/teams Stef is repping here are counter-clockwise from left: Cannibal Corpse (shirt) and GWAR (cap), the Chicago White Sox (Stef, like Denver and Tomas, is a Chicago native), Hieroglyphics (Stef *loves* Del the Funky Homosapien), MF DOOM and Suffocation. (Terrance Hobbs is probably a big inspiration to Stef as a young Black musician in death metal!)
Readers might take some time to warm up to Stef because he's a little chilly at first, but I'm hoping that by the time you all get to know him, you'll love him as much as I do.
