Part 14 of Bats in the Ring! You can download the wallpaper size in the dropbox link that just went out, or in the attachment below. I knew from early on, this would be a downwards wide angle shot with, hopefully, a spotlight lighting, although I am still a little surprised it all came together.

Once you establish your background (or your perspective grids), for a quick and dirty way to change it to fisheye, just mess around with Photoshop's Adaptive Wide Angle filter (Filter > Adaptive Wide Angle). It only works, I think, on a flattened layer, which is a bit of a bummer, but after I set up my Perspective Grid using the methods I describe in Perspective Tools, I slammed the grids with Adaptive Wide Angle, then painted over that!!
