New update today

Hi everyone, there's an update today. I was going to post it this weekend, but my GPU died just as I was setting everything up to upload it. I already have a new one.

Here are some screenshots of the new things you'll see. The update is waiting for a final review and then to be uploaded, but it's going to be today.

Cheers!

Hi, thanks for commenting :D Making a traffic mode is technically possible at this point, but it would be a waste of work. Making a traffic mode takes many hours. It's not easy. It would be a waste of work because I'm currently resurfacing the Larvotto bridge from Port Hercules to Du Portier. I need to raise the level where the bridge and tunnel meet. I'm going to build the new Du Portier roundabout with the hanging planters, and that will raise the asphalt level by at least two meters at that point, enough to break the spline and prevent it from loading. It's impossible to edit it. I'd have to do a new one. When the asphalt is final or isn't subject to such large changes in geometry, it would be possible to make a more or less editable traffic mode. Regarding performance, each map in Assetto Corsa requires more or less resources, making it impossible to have a graphical setup that works the same on all maps. Comparing Shuto's performance to other maps is a big mistake. Shutoko can be so massive because, technically speaking, it's very simple. There are three basic things that drive performance in AC: shadows, reflections, and lighting—and everything related to them. Lowering the shadow resolution increases performance, and disabling dynamic shadows also does. Dynamic shadows can easily consume 50% more performance, meaning your performance would drop by half if you have it enabled. Lowering the casting lighting power will also increase performance. In any case, the fps target has never been to go beyond 60fps, the target is to keep those 60fps constant, this is the cost of not repeating buildings, if I made things generic the fps would go beyond 144fps, but it would not be as faithful to reality, the immersion would be very far from what it is now.

I know Monaco and I can say this is high fidelity - if not realistic due to no traffic. An AI spline would be amazing. Also frame rates - in Shutoku I’m locked at 90 fps but in Monaco it’s under 80 fps. Obviously not fully optimised but any advice to get to 90 fps for VR ? Most settings are already Low to Medium. Also on CSP v.0.2.12 p1. Which version do you recommend ?
