Recent Shipments and Black Friday 2023 Details

Hello everyone! Hope all is well.

I wanted to jump in and give you an update on recent shipments, how things are moving for 2024, and Black Friday 2023 Details. 

Recent Shipments

If you are a new Patron, this might be new news, but with all of the different reward levels and products offered here we fell quite behind this year. We've minimized things for 2024, but we are wrapping up everything for 2023 in some bulk shipments, with a ton of catchup games. We started sending whatever was in just to get caught up - (this nonsense will end soon, I promise). You may have gotten some, none, or all, depending on when you started subscribing and your reward level here. But just to give an idea, here's everything that would have gone out. 

The next shipment was due in November, but rules have been slowing us down, so it's looking to be December and will have more than we planned. We might make a cutoff and send everything that's in stock at some point, just incase any of these games are dragging along. But here is the plan for that.

This still leaves a few things to wrap up 2023.

There are 4 bonus level slots that everyone at $10+ receives. Those slots will consist of one micro word game called Word Bubbles, and we are inserting Moving Pictures: Marked for Mystery into the final 3 slots. So everyone at that level will receive an additional wallet game. These will ship in January.

There are 6 more postcards for everyone at a limited postcard level. These will ship in January and it'll be the end of the postcard level. :(

There are 3 more role playing games for everyone at a role playing level. These will probably ship in February and it'll be the end of the role playing level. :(

How things are moving for 2024

Things are moving very well so far for 2024. The January cards will be here in December, so January can be out in January. The following months are all on track as we have a great plan thanks to some new team members and the reduced amount of products. That last part is crucial to keeping this moving. 

January 2024 Package Details

Championland: Wrestling (wallet game - 2P) - this is the second in the Championland series bringing wrestling to the players. It uses the same great hand mechanic - you can only play the cards on the edges of your hand - but plays completely differently otherwise. This series is made up of great 2P travel games because they are so light on rules and quick to pick up.

Grandma Theseus (9 card game - 2P) - this was the winner of our "design a game about the ship of theseus challenge, where the ship's parts are replaced so often that it's questionable whether it's the same ship or not. In this game, one player is Red Riding Hood and the other is Grandma Theseus who is slowly turning into a werewolf throughout the game. Red Riding Hood is trying to prevent / catch her in the act in order to win. 

It feels great to be this ready for January, as well as the following months. Hope to keep it on time, and super fun next year. 

Black Friday 2023 Details

We have a lot of fun stuff coming to our store on Black Friday, and as a patron you will get almost all of it (as always, depending on your level and when you started subscribing). Here are the games coming to Black Friday and the details on who will receive them. if you need details and player counts on these, just check out the page listings that we're building. It'll all be there.

Pizza Pizza Yum Yum - Wallet level patrons as of August 2023 will receive this.

Guesswork - Wallet level patrons as of September 2023 will receive this.

Apropos of Movies - Wallet level patrons as of November 2023 will receive this.

Picky Pixie - Wallet level patrons as of December 2023 will receive this (note this has not been charged yet).

Championland: Wrestling - Wallet level patrons as of January 2024 will receive this (note this has not been charged yet).

Moving Pictures: Marked for Mystery - $10+ level patrons from October, November, and December 2023 will receive this. If you are only a patron for some of those months, we can make some arrangements. 

River Mild & River Mild: Mildscapes - No patrons will receive this, sorry. It's a retheme of an existing game with no new mechanics so I didn't want to force it on anyone. Please let me know if you think it wouldn't feel forced in the comments. I just don't want to send you the same game twice and feel like I'm taking a shortcut. 

The Walking Dead: Surrounded & Expansion - No patrons will receive this, sorry. This one is a licensed IP and we have some specific requirements on how we can sell it. It's going to be a super cheap pre-order price through Black Friday weekend, then a slightly discounted price after, then eventually full price. You can take advantage of the discounts or wait until it's on the site and use your normal coupon code.
