Friday Art Preview - 11/17/23

Moving Pictures: Marked For Mystery is the next in line for the series. Typically I'll share some artwork first then in a future post I'll show what the card layout looks like. But this game came together really fast, and the layout is the same as the previous Moving Pictures titles. This game will look very familiar to those of you that played the Moving Pictures series. We actually worked with the same artists as the first two titles.
Moving Pictures is a really fun series to work on. The game follows a storyboard, much like a movie, and the art even looks like those storyboard sketches. You'll notice the artwork is a bit more on the sketchy side, storyboards are generally loosly sketched and that theme has followed all three Moving Pictures games. What makes the Moving Pictures series a lot of fun is that when giving direction to the artist, we tell them the story that the game will tell. We go through scene by scene, card by card. The artist (who specializes in storyboarding) always does a great job of interpreting our story and turning it into these great storyboard images.

Ooooooo! This looks awesome. I love the last two in this series and glad to see it continuing. Any idea if this will be part of the BGOMTC game or is it separate? Need to get it either way!
